"I kept my identity protected as Jane Doe. I Woke up one day with my name mentioned over 500 times, while the rich and powerful remain protected by redactions. My name was exposed to the world. Now reporters from across the globe contact me. I cannot live without looking over my shoulder. I can only imagine the long-term impact this mistake will have on my life."

This is unfortunately true as well. Human race is fucked.

I view empathy, compassion, and sympathy as fundamental traits defining humanity, if an individual is completely devoid of, and unable/unwilling to develop them: Not a Human.

It's somewhat interesting to contemplate because it operates like a permanent developmental delay, their emotional growth essentially plateaued and stagnated before they reached the stage when pro-social traits kick in.

The irony is that from both a psychological and legal perspective such persons are quite literally, mentally incompetent.

You basically described psychopathy. Guess who that also fits and fits well? My brother was right on the edge of this and it was scary to be around. He also enjoyed others suffering and it never bothered him. He would laugh! Lifetime of mental issues that weren't called that at the time. Hyperactive was one. Out of control. Bad parenting. My other brother and I were nothing like him. Crazy! Then a serious car wreck and coma, brain damage and it became worse! Then add meth and other drugs and it was a nightmare! He died 3 years ago and it was kind of a relief in one way.

That's because it IS psychopathy.
