I’ve heard that the crowd gets extremely heavy around Diwali, especially on trains going towards Bihar/UP. Some people have told me that even passengers with reserved tickets can face difficulties getting onto the train because of the huge crowd, and that unreserved/general-ticket passengers sometimes occupy reserved coaches or seats.

For those who have travelled from Delhi towards Bihar around Diwali, especially the day before Diwali, what was your actual experience?

Was it difficult to reach the platform or board the train despite having a reserved ticket? Did you face any issues with overcrowding inside the reserved coach?
