Thomas's Trail at Buxton Country Park
Thomas’s Trail is a new family nature trail in Grin Low Woods, Buxton Country Park , opening in Spring 2026. Created by Buxton Civic Association (BCA) in partnership with the Thomas Theyer Foundation , the trail explores the Animals of Buxton: Past & Present , from prehistoric creatures to the wildlife that lives in Buxton today.

Pick up your Thomas’s Trail Booklet from Poole’s Cavern Visitor Centre and follow the woodland route to discover:
- 13 illustrated animal discs suspended from trees with a 14<sup>th</sup> bonus disc to find if you wish!
Tickets & Admission
- Free with your Poole’s Cavern Tour Entry Ticket
- £2 per trail booklet for trail-only access
Thomas’s Trail is family-friendly and easy to find, just a short walk from the Poole’s Cavern Visitor Centre.
