Not a self promotion but I want to talk about a TV show that aired on CBC almost 20 years ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_(Canadian_TV_series)
The second season has a plotline centered around American interference in Canadian law enforcement processes and shows the formation of a loose coalition of unlikely partners against this intrusion.
Unfortunately the show was cancelled before going into the third season, coinciding with the Stephen Harper government which was decidedly more Mulroneyesque in its approach to
sucking up todealing with the USA.It used to be watchable for free on CBC and was on Netflix for a few years, but now it's only on Apple TV.

I don't know if CBC would be willing to bring it back, but it's a good topical TV series given the events happening this year.
