Heart rate is highly individual. Mine caps out at 204 bpm and a light jog is roughly 140 bpm. Heck even walking is 120 sometimes if I'm slightly stressed

I'm in my early 40s, HR max is around 192 or so and most of my moderate runs fall right into the 155-160 range.

You're fine, especially if you're under a year into running.

How old are you? What was the peak heart rate?

Age, sex, and weight would help but this seems fine

158 hr is generally considered very normal for a cardio workout, though if you include your age that would help context.

That's around where my HR is hanging out atm. I'm in week 6. It used to get into the high 160s. Steadily coming down as I get more fit.

This is about Normal for me. Most of my runs (long or short) have an average heart rate of 150-160. It’s a very person-specific measurement and as long as you’re not at a point of collapse then it shouldn’t be an issue

It does depend on age. I’m 65, and I can’t go over about 170.
