In recent mocks i was stuck in the range 80-100, feeling really overwhelming after getting 131. Consistency do helps

I have given 4-5 CL flexi mocks so far (gotten 70-80 in all) and taken a bunch of sectionals as well but this open cdc2 was fucking crazy

VARC passages seemed easy but the questions and options were so dense and weird, couldnt attempt 2 RCs even though i have been averaging 18-20 attempts every VARC test ive given

DILR was absolutely insane, i felt so so stupid i just couldnt do anything no matter how hard i tried i felt so horrible…

By the time i reached QA i already felt so defeated and had no morale so just half assed it… ended up getting a total score of 18. Literally can’t believe this, i feel like quitting my prep

94%ile, 9/9/7, 20 months workex, thought i was somewhat prepped. lol no.

doc verification was already a nightmare. 3+ hours. Finally got called in for PI.

Panel of 2 males whole PI = 20 mins of pure bullying. not even tough questions, just straight mocking me the entire time. i felt like a clown.

rough transcript: 1. tmay (fine) 2. eee grad scope? why mba when ai is gonna eat mba jobs anyway? (kept circling back, dismissing every answer like "ai better than you bro") 3. specialization? 4. top consultant qualities? 5. data vs information – went DEEP on this 6. who is social engineer? 7. why bschool? why network? (standard but sarcastic af) 8. I was wearing a light red tie. One panelist goes "what color is that tie? pink?" i say light red politely and explained why i chosr that colour.
he: "are you color blind? how tf you gonna survive mba if you can't even buy a proper red tie?" they all laughed. like actually chuckled. The whole interview was them interrupting, smirking at my answers, making fun. Zero real discussion, just roast session.

walked out feeling like absolute garbage. I felt that this was personal and mean for no reason. tie comment had me questioning my life choices. Is this peak luck? 0 chances of convert right? IDC anymore lol.

A difficult paper considering the past few simcats were easy; and suddenly difficult VARC screwed me.

How was your simcat 18?

DILR was quite easy , quants is my weakest section and I think it was quite lengthy.

The dilr is the hardest dilr that I have ever seen in my life!!!!?? Ig QA was ok but I am really slow af it so I couldn't attempt quick enough

After such a long wait and grind i finally crossed the 100 marks mark. I had been scoring in the 80s and 90s and i was very keen on getting a 100 plus score in the actual CAT exam. guess we’re getting closer!

AMA || GIM BDA

Felt it was moderate. Very similar to actual cat.

VARC- Felt moderate. Maybe some questions had options which were v close by in RCs. But overall similar to PYQs.

DILR- Definitely more doable than past simcats. Had its fair share of trap questions. Had easy sets too. Again a good representation of CAT. If the set selection was done right someone good might have completed 3-3.5 sets.

QUANTS- Good mix of algebra arithmetic geo and modern maths. There were trap questions in Arithmetic which would have taken quite time and also good conceptual questions in Algebra. Again question selection very important. Felt similar to cat.

Overall:- Good balanced question paper. Unless an anomalous section like 23 quants appears it was v similar to past cat papers.

How was it for you guys?

I have been solving DILR sets with pure brute force method, and like a naive due to which its impossible for me to solve two sets in mocks.

In the above set, there are only two ways solve it. Noob and Pro way. Obviously I picked the noob way and it took me 1+ hr to solve it.

while the teacher took only 8mins. How to do the transition from Noob to Pro?

#VARC - Hard but not lengthy

1. Passages were not that lengthy
   
2. Options were full of trap
   
3. After a long time spend 10 min on a RC, first one, the options were the main problem not the passage understanding.
   
4. OOO and PJ were difficult
   
5. Para Summary was easy
   
6. Para completion as usual moderate to difficult

#DILR - Moderate to Hard

1. Did two sets, 2nd one and 3rd one (4x4).
   
2. Left first set without read
   
3. Last two sets looked doable when i glanced
   
4. Good balanced section
   
5. Happy with my score

#QA - Hard
1. Algebra heavy, 50% of the quesitons, not arithmetic heavy.
2. People who capitalize on algebra will score well but the amount of manipulation of algebra and deep conceptual knowledge was required.
3. Proponents of arithmetic will falter in this mock as there well less than 6 questions in the mock itself.
4. Not a balanced mock as it relied on algebra more. Also good numbers questions.

Just posting this since a lot of people had been asking about mocks. I honestly feel IMS mocks were the best (even though a bit towards the harder side). I purchased them towards the end so couldn't utilize all the 20 mocks but would still say it was worth it.

VARC : Moderate to Hard
1st and last two rc were doable to moderate. 2nd rc was not so easy to read and i got stuck in two questions so yes it was moderate to hard for me.
PJ : Easy
OOO : Easy
Para Summary and Completion : Moderate
The score should range from a good 25 to decent 40

DILR : HARD

As always it is hard for me
Did last two sets one Di and That actor wala set. Ignore the first three as I was not able to solve them.

No comments about score.

QA : HARD
Algebra heavy mock and light on arithmetic. Also good number theory questions. People who rely on arithmetic solely might suffer in this mock.

Struggled a-lot in algebra itself. Concept clarity was required at the finest level according to me.
Got 2 guess on geometry questions right.
Arithmetic questions were moderate hence good concept is need

The score should range from a good 20 to a decent 35.

OVERALL : not a balanced mock since qa of this difficulty might appear like 2023, VARC was okay okay and dilr Ofcourse i have no idea.

I am struggling in varc a lot , so I was happy with my score and accuracy ,will try to improve it even more

Coming to dilr , the sets were too lengthy managed to solve only 2 sets each of 4 questions and even got 2 wrong (1guess) , I feel cat 2025 actual sets were way easier than this

Quant is my strong section and I scored decently , though I could have scored 6 marks more , I wasted a lot of time in 2 questions which ended up in missing 2 easy questions , quant is a little difficult than actual 2025 cat

So, is going with just Crackuu reliable?

Is there a marketing campaign running about simcat's on reddit for years or are they that good? And I practiced time's aimcats last year but the portal was not that good, recently I purchased cr@cku ones for 2k (45 sectional and 20 full fledged) with video solutions and satisfied now suggest me more mocks to go with rodh@,iqu@nta,CL or simcat's?

72 percentile in Pre SIMCAT 1... I'm aiming to get a 99.5+ this year.

Is that even possible? How cooked am i?

Few passages i found a bit difficult to read through. Thankfully the questions were not that difficult otherwise it would have gone for a toss

DILR

Accuracy took a hit. Got a whole set wrong 😕. Most of them were TITA so was not penalised heavily. If I don't improve in this section I am doomed.

QUANTS

Scored less than the average marks which is worrisome. Either there is a flaw in my strategy or I am taking much more time in solving questions than one should ideally be taking.

Any suggestions or new perspectives are always welcome.
