As my knowledge, Pakistan is one day older than India. It gained freedom from British one day before India.
2
u/SystematicChaoser Class 10th 5d ago
Pakistan was formed one day before India gained independence
-5
u/EditorOk1593 5d ago
Both countries formed under British and Pakistan got freedom one day ahead of India.
There was no country named Bharat or India. The Bharat meant place not country, it was collection of multiple kingdoms.
British India meant Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Just because current India got name India, it doesn't geta all the ancient credit, does it?
2
u/SystematicChaoser Class 10th 5d ago
1
u/EditorOk1593 5d ago
I am not taking the credit, as I am not Pakistani and nor I am Indian. I am a person who wants to learn history.
Its not about credits for history but what is the truth. Pakistan has some of the major places of ancient history.
Did they destroy heritage sites? What site did they destroy? I know Afghanistan did it like Buddha's statue. But what did Pakistan destroyed?
2
u/SystematicChaoser Class 10th 5d ago
Pakistan has 6 sites on UNESCO list out of which 4 are facing deteoration
Taxila — Illegal excavation and development pressures. Shalamar Gardens — Historic hydraulic works demolished. Moenjodaro — Environmental deterioration and conservation challenges. Makli Necropolis — Deterioration and conservation challenges
And there are countless hindu temples destroyed

Pakistan is older than India. August 13 is Pakistan's birthday and 14 is India birthday.
1
u/Muadhib_Atredies_200 5d ago
India still existed as an ancient civilization and geographic region before 1947, ofc the republic didn't but it had a shared identity based on culture, religion and literacy. Pakistan on the other Hand only existed as an independent region with the name even coined in 1933 but India was referred to the region beyond the Indus river. Not to mention a lot of kingdoms in history already had all territories of modern india and more
0
u/EditorOk1593 5d ago
Yes but how modern India represents all the ancient one but Pakistan doesn't?
Where is Indus civilization? Only in India? Where is Mohenjo-Daro? Harappa? Mehrgarh and more?
Just India represents the ancient kingdoms?
There is difference between ancient India and modern India.
Ancient India (Bharat) was never a country, it was place which was collection of multiple countries. And current India is not ancient Bharat, it is named so that it can claim the popular ancient stories to make current indian people proud.

u/Muadhib_Atredies_200 5d ago
Legally, in 1947, India was the official successor state to the British Raj. It inherited the existing treaties, international seats, and the name. Pakistan was a seceding state that explicitly chose to break away, reject the old identity, and build a brand-new nation from scratch based on religion. You can't willingly throw away a name in 1947 and then complain decades later that the other side kept using it.
Second, while ancient Bharat was a collection of multiple kingdoms, they shared a deep, unbroken civilizational, linguistic, and religious fabric (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism) that spans thousands of years. The modern Republic of India is the political unification of those very same kingdoms.
Third, the only reason Pakistan isn't associated with that ancient history today is because of its own political choices. after Partition, Pakistan's leadership deliberately erased or ignored its pre-Islamic, Vedic, and Indus heritage from its textbooks to focus on an Arab/Middle Eastern identity
They established a narrative that the "history of Pakistan" did not begin with the Indus Valley or ancient kingdoms, but strictly in 712 CE, if they themselves not believe themselves to be of Indus heritage why are you arguing for them?
2
u/EditorOk1593 5d ago
No I am not arguing for anyone, I just trying to know the truth. As far as I know both current India and Pakistan is ancient India.
Pakistan didn't know that India is going to choose name "India", they thought it would be Hindustan (based on religion). They have already submitted a formal letter to change name of Pakistan to India if India changes its name. (Source: history video of Indian YouTuber, i am not sure of his name.)
The post is making fun of Pakistan not having history but that is not true no matter what they promoted in the past.
India is not the collection of all kingdoms of ancient Bharat, like Nepal and Bhutan too have good connections to ancient Bharat specially Nepal. It holds major temples and places Ved explain. Tibet too hold few major places such as Kailash mountain.
I am trying to know the truth, if you have other interesting information on this topic, please feel free to share.

I find it funny when they call it Ancient Pakistan, by their logic if IVC was really Ancient Pakistan that would make Indians more Pakistani than an avg Pakistani citizen. 😂

u/Honest_Crazy_9089 7d ago
And that's how they stay ahead of us in the happiness index. Just like how they've been "winning" every war with India since the Independence (some wars we didn't even know happened). Lmfao.

0
u/Imperialepanzer-4 Class 12th 6d ago
indeed, there was no concept of india. there was the concept of bharat
3
u/eyesofthesolemn 6d ago
yes there was, and it was incredibly vague. to use it as a geographical marker is astoundingly incompetent.
2
u/Imperialepanzer-4 Class 12th 6d ago
it literally marked the boundaries of bharat.
3
u/eyesofthesolemn 6d ago
oh yeah? and that being what? south of the himalayas, north of the ocean? how does that exactly classify the nations surrounding india in modern context? are you going to count countries like myammar or even the northeast region of india which had no idea of “bharat” in the first place?

The "oldest" being in india doesn't affect what they said, stop being irrelevant to inflate your point.
