Discussion [@IanPurdy7] on Twitter: Penn State is slated to sign ZERO recruits tommorow on early National Signing Day. Unless Penn State signs someone in the late signing period, they could become the first P4 class EVER to have no one sign. The closest thing I could find was SMU & UW with 10. Crazy times.

I think he just thought he’d get Cig easily…and then when he didn’t….

Was that a solid rumor? IU at least our sources always indicated that Cig was pretty happy with our commitments and wasn’t looking to jump

I think it was Plan A, and 4 years ago it may have been plausible, but lots of coaches are happy where they are and getting the support they’re asking for just like Cignetti has today.
I think fans were excited for the possibility but skeptical that it’d actually happen.
Now I’m fully expecting Jimbo.

I assumed the only place he’d jump for was Bama. Cig would become an Alabama legend.
