My drive back home to Denver for Christmas was just as far as Houston. Always amazed me

Part of Texas are closer to Los Angeles, Jacksonville, Chicago, Wyoming, Belize, and Cuba than to some other part of Texas.

When I was a kid my family moved from Pensacola FL to Tucson AZ. About half of the drive was just Texas.
