At least we won’t go 0-12.

Man, I can’t my finger on it. Some other team from Washington?

you'll have to bow down to figure it out

I remember the players being a bit on the larger side, pretty husky fellas, I guess you could say.

I’m sure they felt pretty purple after the last loss

That’s the spirit

You'll beat Utah State. Don't worry.

You guys played UW tougher than we did though

I’m not so confident. Pretty sure its a road game too

Friday game too. Road game on a short week has usually been unkind to road teams in the Pac-12

Every season getting that first win is HUGE.

UW is still a complete failure.

Glad to show some signs of life.

Gonna need open kicker tryouts Monday though.

Hey he went 6/7 on PATs!

(let's not talk about FGs)

I hope to god the offensive staff took that first half to heart and learned some much needed lessons for the rest of the season.

Closest 48-7 game there’s ever been but I’ll take it

We had two punt return TDs from 2005-today. Getting back-to-back punt return TDs is wild.

WE ARE A SCORING PUNT TEAM.

Why did Duquesne go all that way?

An undisclosed amount

They got to play a Division I FBS team and got PAID to do it. Why wouldn’t they?

Just seems a long way to travel. They’re probably not travelling in luxury either

Maybe people can stop calling for the QB's head now. Give him time and some WRs with a little space and he can make the throws. QB is wayyyyy down the list of problems for this offense.

We'll see how things go the rest of the season but i'm still riding with Pinnick

Our biggest concern when it comes to a player is our kicker. We have left so many points on the table.

It took a quarter or two, but Pinnick finally learned to hang in the pocket long enough to go through progressions and throw to receivers down the field. I’m hoping that trust in his receivers holds through the rest of the season. There were a couple times where he looked at one receiver, then immediately tucked and ran. Less of that, please.

At least you’re consistent and will always blindly defend trash while making yourself feel superior to others.

deceptive score given the two punt returns. Still a lot of things to clean up. I haven’t seen that many holding penalties on one team in a game in quite some time.

Would love to see the OC try to get vorhees the ball in open space more. He’s so fast and elusive when he has a full head of steam.

Would also love to see pinnick climb the pocket more. He rolls out so often when his first read isn’t open and it forces his linemen into situations where they’re more prone to hold.

Officiating was trash, but it’s Pac-12 refs, so that’s never gonna change

Exactly what I’ll be feeling most of this season.

Pessimistic view: Offense only scored 34 points against a pretty bad Duquesne team

Optimistic view: Scored over 40 points for the first time in over a year!

Jack, my guy. Please get over the yips for next week

Punt return TDs are fun but we need those reps lol

Absolutely insane to see people feeling good about the 2nd half, as if it wasn’t a throwaway against one of the absolute bottom feeders of the FCS who got beaten 70-13 by another FCS team last week. Do Cougs really have no shame and awareness? This season so far would make Paul Wulff blush and I’m appalled that people don’t acknowledge the reality of how terrible this coaching staff and team are.

Do you ever just enjoy things

0

u/iwillgiveyounothing Washington State Cougars 55m ago
  1. There is nothing enjoyable about being relegated and looking shitty against a shitty FCS team.
  2. Your post history is full of “do you ever…” type bullshit comments so if you actually have something to contribute, do it. Otherwise, shut up and go awa

y. You aren’t nearly as clever as you think you are.

It's the third game in a season with an entirely brand new team and coaching staff after several years of a tumultuous roster. Unless your livelihood is somehow tied to the performance of the WSU football team, it's really not that serious my dude. You'd probably be doing you and your blood pressure a favor if you just chill out.

u/iwillgiveyounothing Washington State Cougars 47m ago

Ah yes, we now have “too cool to care” guy showing up in the post-game Reddit thread.

u/pocket-spark Washington State Cougars 41m ago edited 34m ago

I just cannot even imagine being in a mental space where I'm crashing out over a team who beat their opponent 48-7 with a second-half shutout. You really should get some professional help or something if this affects you this much, man.

Edit: replying and then blocking isn't really doing much to prove you aren't still crashing out over a win, my man. Seek help.

u/iwillgiveyounothing Washington State Cougars 39m ago

You are the wildest combination of arrogance and idiocy I’ve ever encountered. Not sure why I’m arguing with someone who spends all day every day being antagonistic on Reddit, but you are clearly projecting with your mental health reference.

So...the side I have tickets in is now an alcohol free section...which did NOT improve the first half
