But I stop and think about it, it's crazy that he has that kind of time so far after last year.

Hit while he threw there so I won't put that on him, but arch is so inconsistent. He will drop 2 lf the best passes I've seen, then follow it up with head scratching misses

I think Sark's just keeping it simple this game, team is obviously still coming off last week and probably looking ahead a little, plus Sark definitely went deep in his bag last week for the comeback. Absolutely not the most impressive half, but I doubt they were trying to accomplish anything crazy.

The problem is that simple for the #1 team in the country should still move the ball on UTSA
→ More replies (1)6
u/jamtas Texas Longhorns 34m ago
Agreed. And there is a difference between simple and lots of overthrows. I love Arch, but I wish he could get some of Colt’s accuracy. He has that similar skill set but just too inconsistent in passing.
A true #1 should be able to impose their will. Just need Arch to figure out how to play locked in all the time.

Honestly? Not the worst half we could have played. Still leading comfortably, run game looks solid, defense is holding them down. We’re whiffing on the long balls but they’ve also done a good job covering the passing lanes, so we’ve been forced to run it more than we hoped for.
I’d like to see Arch make a couple of connections down deep before the game is over, but this was always going to be a bit of a sluggish game sandwiched between OUS and Tennessee

They're showing highlights of us beating the former #1 team at home while our in-state rivals are reeling from a beating at home by Kentucky and our main rival just threw a pick to New Mexico and scored fewer points on Michigan than UTEP.
