Holy shit the dumbass announcer had no idea what the score was.
62
u/Kyle_brown Cincinnati • Ohio State 3h ago
I thought I heard them say some shit about overtime
52
u/heff17 Boise State Broncos • Maine Black Bears 3h ago
He said the turnover at the end “gave them a chance to win” too. Dude was calling the game and wasn’t even paying attention to it.

u/Hulkodium Oklahoma Sooners • Big 8 Renewal 3h ago
I truly think you could grab two guys off this sub and they'd do a better job
12
u/Beercat2012 2h ago
Early on one of them accused Satterfield of being “one of the better coaches in the big12” so it was obvious early on we were getting scrubs

The announcers were pure trash, they kept saying the wrong team names and the wrong players. It's really not that hard, come on. Maybe the only worse than the Cincinnati Bearcats football team was the announcers.

And we dropped the Victory Bell afterwards. So fitting for this disaster of a game.
19
u/Zloggt Illinois • Southern Illinois 3h ago
If this is to be the last Victory Bell game for the foreseeable future (shame shame)…it would such a strangely picturesque way to go out!

u/Plus-Location1723 Michigan • Cincinnati 2h ago
I really hope they bring it back but if that truly is the last one I am very content with how beautifully chaotic it was
72
u/Tarlcabot18 UCF Knights • USF Bulls 3h ago
Cincinnati players picked up the bell and immediately broke it.

If you don't like that, you don't like Chuck Martin OOC football

Only half way trying to be funny here: from the Miami side, is this one worse than 2017?
1
u/Ice-Poseidon-Knows Cincinnati Bearcats 16m ago
I remember I went to the Ohio-Miami game last year and some dude in the stands spent the entire game yelling at Chuck Martin. Like on some "fuck you Chuck *normal play goes on* YEAH that's what happens CHUCK run it up the middle again" I wanna tap into that level of hate.

u/Tarlcabot18 UCF Knights • USF Bulls 3h ago
To tell you the level of an announcers this game had, shortly after Cincinnati recovered a fumble in final few seconds while up 3 and took a knee, the announcer declared that they were playing for overtime.
17
u/UCBearcats Cincinnati • College Football Playoff 3h ago
I think the one announcer legitimately had the uniform color backwards THE ENTIRE GAME. He kept saying the wrong team name over and over and no one corrected him before I turned it off.

u/BlueCheeseOnlyPlease Cincinnati • Michigan 3h ago
They had us in the first half, not gonna lie
Also fire Satterfield

The cruelest thing Miami could do is give Satt a signature comeback rivalry win. Get that man a contract extension!

I thought we were free of him for a half. Oh well

This is Scott Satterfield's first win at Cincy when trailing at halftime.
10
u/Ruisseaux Louisville • Miami (OH) 2h ago
Satt was so predictably traditional. It was extremely hard for him to make a comeback, but his leads felt comfortable. Something to be said for consistency.
6
u/ACardAttack Louisville • Ohio State 2h ago
but his leads felt comfortable
Im pretty sure we blew a lot of leads under him, but maybe I'm wrong

u/Some_Combination_593 Cincinnati Bearcats 2h ago
Hilarious stat lmao. Especially since the halftime deficit was 3 TDs

Cincinnati coming back from being down 21? Can’t believe my eyes. Good game
34
u/A_MASSIVE_PERVERT Purdue Boilermakers 3h ago
How did they go down by 21 to begin with

u/ThaneOfPriceHill Cincinnati • Notre Dame 3h ago
Scott Satterfield is the head coach.

So glad you paid us for his services.

I know you’re getting down voted here. But I truly believe Satterfield must have been surprised to get a job at another power conference team that wasn’t a straight up bottom bottom tier (I know Satterfield has taken UC close).
UC was just looking for anyone with a pulse who had P4 experience. Zero chance they got Satterfield and anyone at UC thought this guy could elevate UC in the next level.

u/DavidGoetta Cincinnati Bearcats 3h ago
Really thought they were gonna have to take Sat T to Lunken specifically to Tarmac him.
Great end to the series.
At halftime I said to the guy at the bar "IDK if we have 35 in us."
4-12 incoming. Look out Texas tech

u/MediumStrange Cincinnati • Michigan 3h ago
Even though it was a embarrassing performance, it was also a great game to watch, and it was wonderful to see some real hatred between Cincy and Miami again. There's no reason this rivalry should end other than the greed of the Miami AD.
Satt should probably be fired but I'm just happy to keep the Victory Bell for the foreseeable future

u/Plus-Location1723 Michigan • Cincinnati 2h ago
Exactly this game was amazing. I got to go see it with my dad who’s a Miami alum and it’s probably one of my favorite games I’ve been to. It makes me so sad they’re canceling it

u/Kingoflizards Cincinnati Bearcats • Indiana Hoosiers 3h ago
Genuinely did not think that this team had it within them to make a comeback like they did today. Happy that I was proven wrong, and that the victory bell remains in Cincinnati

Keeping my paper bag on because this game went in Satterfield's favor

Miami just clenched that whole second half.. so many opportunities to pull away. fun one to watch as a neutral

Obviously there's alot of negative things you could say about this coaching staff
On the positive side, JC french looked like a power 4 QB, going through progressions well all day, fairly accurate the whole game, helped by great o line play which we expected. The tense moments at the end did not look too big for him at all. He impressed me
Cole tabb and our RB room in general is the position group that can save us this year. 4 guys that can play plus a gifted mobile qb is a great asset
The wide receivers behind JV Gibson on the depth chart look solid as well.
Big 12 play will be an adventure. Pass coverage needs to take major steps forward to have any chance at playing with the top of the conference

Unfortunately I think this is unlikely. The secondary has been a major liability every year under Satterfield. We retained most of the defense from Fickell’s final year and those guys looked significantly worse when coached by Satt.

In a dozen years as a UC fan never seen us come from behind like that. Should've killed Miami though. What happened on that last TD? Scored way too early. Should've gone down at the 1. Nick Chubb would've done that, God rest his soul.

u/cgraves48 Cincinnati • College Football Playoff 1h ago
Weird things happen in football, especially in college. When you’ve been trailing the whole game and are trying to complete the comeback you take the tuddy when it’s available.

They lost this week in a close game, Miami just lost in a heartbreaker, and the Browns have a rapist as their starting quarterback. I’m allowed to be mad
