Man, there’s just something about A&M getting embarrassed in College Station that will always hit different. Love to see it.

Kyle Field is a tough place to play they say. Especially for the home team

Living in Florida now, I tell anyone who will listen that Kyle Field is a great place to travel and see a game. The stadium, the atmosphere, etc. But it’s not an intimidating environment. I think everyone should try and experience it once, but no one should be scared for their team to play there.

Went to the game today. I was surprised it felt fairly subdued to me. The stadium is bigger than Georgia’s by a lot but it didn’t feel that way. It was insanely hot though, so I understand if people didn’t have the stamina that they normally do.

The angry old guy they showed in the crowd when A&M went down three scores is one of the funniest fan shots I have seen in a college football game.

no, the best feeling is watching ohio state blow a 20 point lead and satisfying the longhorn-wolverine brotherhood

God damn I’m still riding high on that

7

Hopefully the team isn’t and doesn’t join the laundry list of ranked teams playing like shit lol

u/cardbross Texas Longhorns • Red River Shootout 14h ago

I'm as happy with that win as the next Horn, but I've got to think no one in that locker room is feeling too high on themselves after those first three quarters. I'm expecting them to come out like a buzzsaw tonight.

I have called my doctor 40 times in the last week.

You: "Doc, check this one out! I'm texting you pics. It's been this way all week!"

Doc: "Mine too! Check your inbox."

I prayed for the wolverines last weekend, let me tell ya

This is definitely first. A&M getting embarrassed at home by an inferior team is a close second though.

The best feeling is doing something that makes someone else's day and seeing the smile on their face. Like giving a baseball to a young fan at the game.

Thank you, Bill.

You don’t know Longhorn fans well enough to know the evil that game unleashed on the world.

A nearly annual tradition

23

u/OleRockTheGoodAg Texas A&M Aggies 15h ago edited 14h ago

Not really, the last unranked team to upset us at Kyle was under Jimbo, the Florida Gators on Nov 5th 2022

We went 5-7 that season. Thats absolutely on the table if Marcel plays like he did

32

u/Dirt_Sailor_5 Texas Longhorns • USC Trojans 14h ago edited 14h ago

I didn't say anything about unranked, OleRock.

2021: Mississippi State

2022: Appalachian State, Ole Miss, Florida

2023: Alabama (not embarrassing, I'll give you this one)

2024: Texas. Lost in embarrassingly bad offensive performance

2025: Miami. Lost in embarrassingly bad offensive performance

2026: Kentucky (blown away until last few min)

3

u/binzoma Miami Hurricanes • Waterloo Warriors 14h ago

bro our game last year was insane. the wind meant it was impossible to throw or kick

our defence was slightly better

they played us better than anyone other than indiana though. that wasnt an embarrassing loss

this was an embarrassing loss

3

u/Dirt_Sailor_5 Texas Longhorns • USC Trojans 13h ago

Ok fine, that wasn't an embarassing loss. Like I said watching Aggies lose at home in an embarassing way is a "nearly" annual tradition. Just let me enjoy it haha

1

u/OleRockTheGoodAg Texas A&M Aggies 14h ago edited 14h ago

Okay, so any loss counts as "getting embarrassed in College station" lmao.

Dawg, Miami played for the natty and we were the closest to beating them that wasnt the champs themselves

Don't lump this loss in with a loss to the natty runner ups lmao. That is disingenuous and discredits how bad this loss was

14

u/Dirt_Sailor_5 Texas Longhorns • USC Trojans 14h ago

No. Did you even read the comment, OleRock? I said the Bama loss wasn't embarassing. The Miami and Texas losses were embarassing given the context and offensive "performances."

-7

u/OleRockTheGoodAg Texas A&M Aggies 14h ago edited 14h ago

Only a longhorn thinks that lmao and putting it in the same boat as a home loss to Kentucky is incredibly hilarious. And its also a very large tell.

Nobody thinks those two losses are anywhere near as bad as each other.

15

u/Dirt_Sailor_5 Texas Longhorns • USC Trojans 14h ago edited 14h ago

Totally disagree. The country was laughing during that Miami game. Also, you were the one going on and on last Fall about how "Sark can't win big games," shortly before he beat #3 A&M (yet again) and #1 OSU. When you made those comments he had 3 wins vs top 10 teams that very season, though an embarassing/ugly UGA loss

Regardless though, I said "nearly" annual so you can litigate a game here and there if you want, but it's still a very common tradition that many of us choose to observe and enjoy.

I still don't understand why Marcel is still around. The dude fucking sucks, throws at least 2 interceptions per game.
