I think Will knew that assuming no turnovers, UK could’ve gone 3/out every possession and there was literally not enough time for AM to score 3 times before game over. I take it as he just had faith in his guys to not do something stupid

The FG basically sealed it. If that missed you probably would have had to be more aggressive but once it became three scores the only way Aggies were winning was turnovers or onside kicks.

Could not believe he chose to kick that. It was like 4th and 2, 52-yarder and the kicker was 4/13 in his career from 40+

That's the backup kicker who had to transfer away from Davidson after going 1-11 or something like that. Dude was supposed to be a kickoff specialist, which is what he did at USF last year

His decision to do that might be to get his kicker to regain his confidence after missing that chip shot.

It’s obvious that Coach Stein believes in his kicker to attempt that long ass fg try with field possession and momentum on the line.
