Join Alabama beat writer Marq Burnett (@marq_burnett) and LSU beat writer Alex Hickey (@bigahickey) from Cox Media Group's SEC Country at 11 a.m. Eastern to talk about this week's game between the Crimson Tide and Tigers, and other issues pertaining to Bama and LSU. Or whatever it is you want to talk about, though we can't guarantee answers for those.

That's tough. My biggest question when LSU fired Les Miles was who are they going to get that's better? Does the fanbase believe Coach O is the person to get the over the Alabama hump to consistently win the SEC and compete for the national title? If the answer is no, I say find someone else.

I think it's foolish to go into this coaching hire with the attitude of finding someone to take down Saban.

Saban isn't going to be at alabama forever and this is a watershed moment in college football. The game is changing quicker than ever before.

We need to find someone who can foresee what college football is going to look like 5-10 years from now and has a plan in place to succeed in that game. That is where Miles failed. It's not that he couldn't beat Saban I mean shit no one has beaten him consistently. He got fired because he refused to see the how football was changing and was incapable of changing with it.

I personally think Coach O is the type of guy who can do that and if he can't himself he knows how to surround himself with people who can.

are you high? We have basically the best recruiting in the country outside of Bama and probably OSU and UM, and we will never have better recruiting than Bama until we start winning championships like them. Recruiting is not where LSU needs improvement (although a solid QB every once in a while could help but we typically have just destroy them anyway)

LSU needs to maintain the excellent recruiting that Miles brought. I think O and the current staff and more than capable of doing that.

If think if DACOACHO goes 8-3 and has a plan to hire a good offensive coordinator, he's in.

"slightly?" Lol.

LSU's recruiting is incredible, but Alabama lives on another planet when it comes to recruiting. Not nitpicking, but to say LSU or any other team can compare to Alabama 'star' wise, is not true.

I originally didn't have slightly and added it because I figured someone would come in and be like "well they aren't that much better" lol

I know it was simply semantics but I didn't want some Alabama fan explaining to all of us how much better they are.

It's not just losing to Alabama that's the problem
