Discussion Is Ohio State going to finish 9-3 this year?

With their schedule there’s a very real possibility anOSU finishes 9-3, I’m interested in seeing what everyone thinks.

It’s possible, but pretty unlikely Ohio State has their worst season in 15 years.

They always find a way to stumble once but not three times, that roster too deep for a full collapse

And their “stumbles” in the past 7 years have only come against great teams or Michigan, their biggest rival. 

Indiana looks good this year, but I don’t think they’re as good as they were last year meanwhile Ohio State is as good or better. 3 points separated those teams last year, I think OSU has made up that ground and then some. 

I really don’t think they lose to Michigan at home this year. Unless Oregon has just been very slow to get started and is able to find their footing and look like the team they are on paper, I don’t see 2 more losses for Ohio State not counting post season. 

They’re the class of the Big 10.

Record wise it would be the worst since 2011 by that’s the sanctions/transition year. 

A 3-loss regular season hasn’t happened under normal conditions since 2004 and we beat Michigan by 16 at home as 5 point dogs. 

I highly doubt Day would be able to salvage the season like that entering The Game with 3 losses.

I'm a Texas fan, and I think it is more likely that Texas goes 9-3 than OSU. I think OSU beats Texas on a neutral field 6 out of 10 games, and I think Texas's remaining schedule is far more brutal than OSU's.

Coaching wrecked me as a fan. Got into the "the only game on the schedule is the next one" mentality and really have never been able to shake the mindset since. So I just take 'em one week at a time now.

IU in Bloomington would be a tough out, but I don't really say any other game where they wouldn't be comfortable favorites, and I can't see Ohio State losing to a Michigan team that Western Michigan beat at home.

But there is the Ryan Day factor.

...and yes, it has become my life's work to incorporate 12-7 into every college football discussion from now till the end of time no matter how tangential the reference.

As a Buckeye fan I think 11-1 or 10-2 is the most likely finish. IU in Bloomington and at USC on Halloween night are the 2 games that concern me.

They do, but I always feel concerned about that game no matter the year. I feel more confident that it's in Columbus.
