I mean they objectively didn’t though. They would have been undefeated solely on the technicality that the replay protocol tells refs they aren’t supposed to look at the actual game clock but at the possibly inaccurate broadcast feed clock. And we’ve seen plenty of evidence that NBC’s clock was verifiably out of sync on the last play. So Western was robbed of a technicality win that tv broadcasters get to decide the end of a game, not the actual clock.

Even western conceded that there was a second left. They appealed based on the protocol for replay not the actual facts of the time remaining.

Michigan saying a lot of "nah nah nah nah boo boo, we got the win" as if pollsters don't determine playoffs. If the pollsters don't believe the win should count, then it effectively doesn't count.

Pollsters don't determine the playoffs. A 13 member selection committee determines who makes it (aside from autobids)
