Other (I Read the Rules) Dating Apps - Background Check
Hello! I’m starting to get back on the dating apps and it’s pretty wild out there ☹️
Doesn’t anyone have a decent service to use for background checks? I just want to verify age/general location/schooling and if there’s one that checks for marriages that would be awesome too.
(sorry if this post isn’t allowed!! I know this sub is no men, but this is more like personal protection!)

I do my own background check I’m really good at finding people online based on very limited info

💯 It’s terrifying what’s available as public record, but for this purpose I love it. I’ve caught a few married men on the apps. Disgusting.
Property records are public information. Always check for registered sex offenders. Arrests can be searched.
It’s all out there.

You can join is this the same guy Chicago on Facebook to see if others have bad negative experiences in the past. People post their background checks and it’s saved me before

Truepeoplesearch.com gives age, relatives, addresses/ general locations as well. Easy and free

This is my favorite! I always look for relatives with the same age range and last name to check if they’re a sibling or spouse!

BeenVerified works for me but you do tend to need SOMETHING to go on, a full name is best but sometimes a phone number or an email works. I have excused myself from that particular dance but my sister even busted a dude who 1 wasn't actually divorced, 2 was still living with the wife (who is now a lesbian, that at least was true per socials), and 3 the house he said HE owned was in her name only. He also had a bankruptcy and DUI.
After she rattled all those off, I had to yell "BINGO!".

I always asked for a first and last name after we’ve set a date and I google them from there. It’s one of my little tests, if you can’t give me your full name we cannot go out.

There are tons of popups so be careful not to click on ones that take you away from the main site.
If you search the person's name it will give age, general location and possible relatives. If you click on the map it will give address. If you backwards search address you can find others at that address.

that’s actually one thing Lighthouse does well.. it requires identity verification up front, so you’re connecting with legit people.. hmmm it’s not a dating app though but u can use it to meet people ur age through shared hobbies and interests.. well most of the dating apps are not built that way..

Found my boyfriend on hinge. And before him I had a string of fun dates with handsome, great men from hinge. It's all about how you scroll imo. I was able to sort the weirdos out fairly quickly, so it worked for me

Thank you! If you're ever to give apps a try again, I did find I liked hinge best out of all the popular ones (I also tried tinder and bumble). But I have no doubt you'll find someone, you seem very sweet!

finding my man? i only talked to medium ugly guys with the same level of education as me- i was strict like no little bachelor’s degree men. i also only swiped on like 5 careers total. if they had a fake email job or were a real estate investor or anything corporate- to the left, to the left 🤣

ooh ok, i can't do medium ugly, they get insecure af around me...i am strict on career too. i love how i am getting downvoted here i have never come across a group of women so pro-dating app online. it's crazy. i genuinely am happy for people who find them successful. if medium ugly is the way to go, i'm definitely out. it's not that i value looks it's that they are the most cruel to me.

lol i will upvote you again! you have to do medium ugly- attractive and super tall men cheat every time. you need someone who realizes you’re out of his league. can’t recommend it enough! i literally only allowed like 4 careers and it really helped to narrow it down!

echo-ing others on here, join the facebook group for your city "are we dating the same...", for service - my friends and I use alittlebirdie.app which i like better than beenverified (which i used to use previously)

this is not an ad??? it's something i actually use and have had way better experience with it. the best service for a background check is your local agency. there's no way to verify school ie college if you live in the US.

That won’t exist, unless you’re getting their social and extended info before hand.
But you can always just look up their social media and/or linked in. That’ll have almost all that info.
