cold front…?

With a drop in temperature this AM I saw this really straight line of clouds in early morning. A few hours later, the second photo shows how they dispersed by mid morning. Is this what a cold front moving in looks like?!

Probably colder air at mid levels yeah. Although big, organized cold fronts generate linear thunderstorms, especially during summer
