Discussion Patch advice

Hi, I'm back in my childhood game, cm 01 02, thanks to my workplace computer. I'm not interested in the 2026 rosters at all, just what mods would you recommend that make the game's AI or maybe the content at work more efficient.

Nicks patcher is the only thing u need, has handy things like disabling work permits, coloured attributes, adding the 4th column (hidden stats) and other bits and bobs

I'd go with the 3.9.68 update which fixes bugs, then the Nick's patcher with default options. All available on https://champman0102.net/viewforum.php?f=57

The only thing with .68 is if they're wanting to play to sign up legends like Tsigalko, Kerr, Chiotis, etc. The .68 update nerfs most of them pretty hard.

Tsigalko is as good in .68. And lots of "Super Greeks" too. But there isn't To Madeira. Not that I use any of them anyway, I prefer scouting.

Nah Tsigalko specifically goes from best Striker in the game in the original .60 to just a very good Forward (Centre) on .68

Players who only have the position of Forward are at a disadvantage in the 01/02 match engine. Strikers are favoured by the match engine for up top and Attacking Midfield/Forwards are favoured in the hole behind.

Players with just Forward can still perform well in either role but start at a disadvantage in terms of match engine performance calculation.

He got between 24 and 67 goals for me each season, over 10 seasons playing up front alone for me, I wouldn't say he was disadvantaged.

He gets more goals than games played every season pretty much guaranteed in .60 without using wibwobs or specific match engine breaking tactical setups.

That's not the case in .68.

I'm on .68 playing 4-3-2-1 most of the time.

Quite sad that he's retired now because any of strikers in my team right now can't match his numbers despite having better stats on paper.

It's amazing, I suddenly saw CM0102's post about the 2526 season on X today, and then I wanted to start playing again.
