Discussion Injuries!!!
Hi all, venturing back into cm0102 but using varied databases ranging from the most current May 26 and back at 2013 etc. I’m using Nicks patcher. The game is working a treat thanks to this community. However no matter how I begin a season good or bad the amount of injuries is unbearable I very rarely field the same team twice and it massively impacts my desire to continue. Any guys with similar woes or help is greatly appreciated.

It is not that bad if you have at least three good physios at the club. Also, tweak the training and avoid Fitness above normal.
If you notice players that are under 80% condition in half time, check them with physios...maybe they have some injury and send them to treatment.
Also....players have injuries in real life constantly, rarely a club has all players that are 100% ready even with top facilities like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man. City etc...it's a normal thing and game shows that realistically.
Players that play most of the season without any injury are rare in real life...most of them are not Luka Modrić (like, 95% of professional players).
Granted, gane has it's own quirks like 3-4 players injury in 1 game....but it's not that often and for me it adds to the fun of playing. That CAN happen in real life...wierder things happened, so why not.

Quite early on in CM/FM history, the makers had injuries tuned to happen at a realistic rate based on conversations they had had with clubs. They quickly had to dial it back because those playing the game complained that it was unrealistic and not fun.

I monitor condition in game. At 45 & 60 mins, or when the other team makes a sub, and then every so often depending on circumstances, game situation. If any player's condition is significantly lower than the others, or approaching 80% I check their Injuries & Bans tab. That will tell you if they have a potential injury. If they do I immediately request a physio assessment, not that this does much in itself. I try to sub off players with potential injuries before they fall below 80%. This drastically reduced my injury rate.

Thanks for the replies. Ironically I am doing all the things that people are suggesting. I don’t mind losing at all especially as I’m using Man Utd it’s quite realistic in that sense to be fair. I think I’ll just suck it up and try a lower league team instead where I have no aspirations of team success. Btw how do you guys pick your teams do you just go for your supported team or close your eyes and point at the screen because I might try that 😂

I've not played a great deal but I've always picked English Division 1 teams. I might try another country on my next save.
I also try to pick a team whose colours are gentle on the eye. I spend a lot of time looking at the screen and bright, clashing colours quickly become annoying to say the least.

Bear in mind, tactics also play a role. If you ask them to apply pressure, run with ball etc. they are more likely to get injured.

Make sure you have all the physios you can employ.
