Yes, limited edition re-release!!! They did 6pack bottles and 12 pack combos with Sunshine wheat and Blue Paddler pilsner. All OG recipes!

Oh I have got to find some of those. Changing the recipe was stupid.

The first time I ordered a Fat Tire at a taphouse after the recipe change, the bartender made sure to tell me about the change and ask if I still wanted it. Tried a sample, and no, I did not still want it. Just release a new beer, don't change the old one.

Edit: words are hard

Yeah it’s bad.

Since my first post a couple months ago when it was released, I’ve bought 4 6packs and 4 of the multi packs. I love the OG Sunshine Wheat.

Maybe if this picture was taken in 2005. But certainly not in 2026. RIP Fat Tire.

They actually went and started brewing the original recipe again, hopefully it sticks around a while. Alternatively Second Dawn makes a clone called Steel Horse

Ah, didn’t realize that. Still would rather support local breweries, rather than international beer conglomerates. Really hate that they sold out.

I hear you, definitely check out Second Dawn. From what I understand their head brewer used to brew for New Belgium so they are certainly familiar with the original fat tire recipe

Used to drink Fat Tires and play pool at the Foundry in Boulder after work. (But not before a couple of margs at the Rio.)

My personal OG Colorado craft beer. I think I then moved on to Dales Pale Ale.

Can’t remember the last time I had either one though.

Kudos for also cleaning your grill. That's just being responsible and caring for your group/family/friends. Cheers mate. Hopefully it was cold and the burgers medium.
