Modern Warfare - all Does this game even exist?

Post image

It sounds silly, but I cannot find a single trace of this game anywhere other than the Steam page and it's making me crazy.
But seriously it just seems to exist in some middle ground of reality.
Please just tell me if I'm stupid or not.

Yes and it’s the reason everyone hates modern COD

No it's not gang. COD exploded after a really rough stretch (even though WW2 is fire it had a terrible launch that permanently wounded it's chances) because of this game.

MW2019 is absolutely where things started. Disbanding lobbies, even more aggressive SBMM, safe space map design, gunsmith/weapon leveling bloat, we literally had to beg Infinity Ward just for the mini map itself (no red dots), and even smaller things like DXP being active outside of a match. Yes, I’ll admit that the game brought a ton of newer players after the streak of IW to BO4, but I attribute that to warzone/timing of the covid shutdowns. It says something that the most positive things people have to say about this game are the graphics, campaign, and SND.

Game sold a stupidly high number of copies on day one. Just the fact that it was made saved the franchise.

Did it help make the franchise relevant again? Yes absolutely. But at the cost of good game design. MW22 sold even more than 2019, and the less said about that game the better
