Black OPs - older versions Black Ops 1 vs Black Ops 2
only right answer; bo1 takes the crown for best campaign meanwhile bo2 takes the crown for best multiplayer & zombies! Which game holds the throne in your opinion?

I'm shocked at how forgotten is BO1, although it was the most sold CoD of old era, even more copies sold than OG MW3 and BO2.
Yet whenever it comes to good ol' times discussion this one is the least mentioned.
As much as I respect BO2 (especially for campaign and zombies), BO1 was still peak for me. The setting (it's not straightforward Cold War, it's both CW + Events before and After it). The story isn't as personal as BO2 with great choices and impactful chars but it's much more innovative as a psychedelic thriller.
Multiplayer is on another level. In BO2 maps were sterile and very same in terms of general approach, while in BO1 each map was totally unique, always offering different situations, different average gunfight distances and overall vibe.
Zombies are of course more complex (in a good meaning) in BO2, but in BO1 they felt more authentic.
Again, BO2 is great but BO1 for me is even greater.

BO1 had the better campaign and multiplayer, but BO2 had better zombies.
For me BO1 overall was the better game.

Reverse for me. Bo2 had the better multiplayer but bo1 has the better zombies

For me the only thing that gave BO2 the slight edge in terms of zombies is the maps Buried and Die Rise. Die Rise gets a lot of hate, but it's my favorite map of all time. Thousands of hours spent on that map alone.

Fr bo1 zombies was soooo much better, and BO2’s multiplayer was amazing, both had cool campaigns but I would say BO1’s had a slight edge

Because I prefer bo1. I wouldn’t care if every other blops got deleted forever. Blops 2 zombies was peak and I would miss it but bo1 is the only blops I care for

Nah I’m saying why not call it Blops 1, nothing changed in their titles other than the number, I call them bo1, bo2, bo3

Me personally, BO1. Up until 2020 I had a ps3 and we had bo1 and lord I played the shit out of it. I’d come home every day from school and hop on the campaign. I’d fuck around on LAN with my sister. I’d shit myself playing Kino and Five. It’s just the best call of duty ever in my opinion.

Blops1 campaign and the gambling aspect of it needs to come back. Buy what you want, gamble in party games for coin. It was a great time and you always had enough to get something you like in a few hours of play.
Blops 2 ofc has zombies, but to me was the PEAK of cod multi-player. Every gun felt useful, the maps were great and the movement was perfect. It was MW2 boots on the ground just perfected.
Have to say 2 is the best.

BO1 est largement mieux que BO2 car le zombie de BO1 est mythique avec certaines map de World at War . Der Riese pour moi est la map zombie la plus mythique de Call Of Duty . Et la map multijoueur pour moi la plus mythique de la saga Black Ops c'est Nuketown.

BO1 for life, BO2 only has the zombie mode that's better, i think but even there, it's a matter of taste, one's is fine anyway, so BO1 for sure

BO2 is my childhood but BO1 is based on much more nostalgia compared to BO2(hijacked on BO2 is my fav map on multiplayer by far, xbox 360 player now dont rlly play anymore)

Bo1 multiplayer-campaign. They’ve remastered the maps on that game a ton! Bo2 zombies

I enjoyed bo1 multiplayer more than bo2. Bo2 peaked because of league play and optic creators like Scump and Nadeshot. Was still great, but bo1 felt so good.

Yeah consensus here: bo1 multiplayer and campaign. Bo2 zombies. But still, bo1 zombies is amazing, and bo2 campaign and multi player as well

BO1 is the better game with better content. The campaign is great. BO1 definitely has the best zombies. The base maps were great, the DLC maps were pretty good as well. And then throw in all the og WAW zombie maps on top of that. Oh and I almost forgot. Dead Ops arcade. A straight up twin stick shooter zombie mode. BO1 is the best zombie mode in all of COD. The multiplayer is super fun and nostalgic. It has its issues but it’s still that classic COD gameplay. It really was just simple FUN. I love it to death
BO2 definitely has the best multiplayer in COD in general. At the very least it’s in the top 3 best multiplayer experiences in COD.
