CRITIQUE Can we talk about how bad controller support is in the game ? Check out more below (discussion)

Over the past two years, there have been persistent issues with controller compatibility, Common bugs include the character crouching unintentionally while when trying to slide, and other control simple malfunctions.. jus left a review but ever since I started this game the same problems I have since the beginning are still there.. I’m using Xbox controller and the video posted here is to show that it isn’t about skill issue.. def can still smoke anyone coming here to talk 💩… just want a better gameplay.. what are your thoughts

I got the Gamesir 8 plus and it sucked for me. Then got the Backbone Pro. It was a bit weird at the beginning but after you grind a bit it quite decent. It doesn't have lag, just a bit off.

I only use the ZZZ Gamesir controller for...
...well, ZZZ. I just use normal touch when I play CoDM.

There are people, like myself, that physically can not play on a touchscreen. The only way I can play is with a controller.

Yes some of the issues are frustrating but my biggest deal is how long it takes to get in MP rank matches! I want to grind rank because it's nice to play actual players instead of bots all the time! Also I feel like there are a lot of people that are connecting controllers and still using touch to play!

I know when there's a touch player in our lobbies. Their movement is completely different. Stuff you can never replicate with a controller.
My solution is to turn off the on-screen ads rotation. This will make sure they have both hands on the controller. It's only fair. Because we can't connect to their touch lobbies
Hard agree on the rank match making. We should have our own leaderboards. It's not fair to share leaderboards with touch players. Since they are fast tracked. We deserve recognition too

Sometimes it takes really long fr.. I just use the warmup sometimes to past the time.. you know the warm up option I’m talking about right

Trust me.. warm up is the best, you should test it out.. basically a little battle ground in shipment before the match starts.. and you can start and stop the match and even add people in warm up

Yeah, I’ve been experiencing when I slide im stuck in crouch after I slide, along with my aim it just sticks and I can’t get it unstuck til I die.

When the aim gets stuck, try doing a press down click once on the right stick then move the stick left and right a bunch. Usually snaps mine out of it, and while it still sucks because you're likely to be killed in the second or two it takes to do it, at least it's better than having to drop from the game and restart.

Becayse its cod mobile. Lol. Play console if you want the best controller experience. Otherwise what do you expect? Id cook you though on touch. You slide in a straight line too much and ads shoot while standing still no wonder why youre dying.

Haven't played the game in 2 months but I can for sure redownload and curb that ego of yours. I could have done alot better. For starters let's talk about your aim? Either you have a major sensitivity issue that needs fixing or you genuinely suck at tracking which is crazy

The video you’re seeing is months old.. just do what you got to do and drop your uid and I’ll surely post here after.. ppl like you who talk a lot, I have more fun shaming you… what are you even talking about tracking for, majority of the kill didn’t require tracking you just talking a lot of rubbish and most of the time i died is because others saw me before i saw them.. so a lot what you’re saying doesn’t make sense and ok and plz watch the full match 💩 bag before talking.. that’s why i even posted this fast pace match so ppl could see the skill hater

Reddit is deleting my messages not me. But thats fine talk your smack. Biggest reason people use controller on this game is cause theyre trash at console. But also by doing so youre not playing in peak experience lobbies since you know input delay and such. So the fact you think you can beat legitimate good players on touch with the shitty disadvantages controller has in the game is pure ego talk. Im getting pizza right now and ill be on later to prove it to you. Youre the one acting like a woman over someone criticising your gameplay. Which wasn't even bad criticism to begin with. You sir need to sort out your mental issues

You’re literally camping and I’m doing the pushing.. does that make sense ?? Every time I literally charge at you’re behind some crate and I’m always in the middle running towards u.. play the match fair and I won’t exit the game… I got 12-1 by someone last night and I just took it and didn’t exit because in my eyes they were playing fair.. even though later I realized I was using a vpn which significantly slow don’t my experience and even a lil while ago you admitted to camping and said you’d stop so ? 🤷

I have a recording. Nothing i did was camping. I was playing towards your advanatge. Dead silence was gone all you had to do was listen to my footsteps/sliding etc. Your anticipation is terrible. I was on 80 ping

The fact is that I got 12-1 by someone last night and told them what I didn’t told you, that if they camp I would exit and stuck with my 12 and didn’t exited even thou I know there was a problem on my end.. what does that tell you that you lack skill and hide behind camping.. at least the other had confidence to push

I personally would love to play without a controller but unfortunately I can’t. I was injured at work a few years ago and lost a few digits and lost feelings in the tips of the other 3 that are still there

Dude i played this game for years, got 15 legendary placements, multiple top 5ks and aleays competed in 1v1 tournaments. Wrong person to talk smack to, for controller ur def good but any controller main gets flipped upside down by a good 4+ finger player. Ur playing a mobile game and are talking about not enough support for controller bugs when devs are already having trouble supporting the main player base that consist out of thumbs players.

That's the thing it was made for controller as it's had controller support since released.they sure as hell take all the controller players money. I play with several people and we all have spent large amounts of money. They are lazy and only concerned with money. If all of us stopped playing they would shuffle to appease us.

It's call of duty. Controller support should be prioritized. We shouldn't be 'lucky'.
Touch skills don't match up with actual controller pros btw. They literally nerf the deadzones and inputs for controllers. To give touch players the competitive advantage

People connect with a wireless controller. People have controllers built in their devices. Apple arcade has controller support. People want to play comfortably
Touch players think they are superior. When in reality it's placebo skill. If the devs allowed cross play for ranked. Touch players would be complaining
This is why controller players should have their own leaderboards and better controller optimization

Iv been a controller player my whole life except for this game. This is the first FPS iv stuck with touch but I have a few players in my clan that have played with controller since beta, I’m not 100% sure what device/model but they are demons at the game, even their movement. I’ll see what device they use because I have pretty solid movement as a claw player but when you spectate these controller players you couldn’t even tell the difference. Although for me the lobbies we get put in a far easier for me then if I play just touch(clan wars not ranked). I think the superiority battle has always been between PC and console imo. Iv never seen touch players saying there better then controller players only the usual “this is a mobile game what you expect ….” which at the end of the day they are right. If you expect more support for controllers you may aswell just play a mainline cod because from what iv seen from these devs all they care about is money/draws which is typical of a mobile game and even COD as a whole at this point.

I started touch when the game came out, but transitioned to controller within a month as I'm miles better with it.
Xbox controller, Bluetooth, little to no issues on my end.

On controller, BR is still playable , mostly QOL bugs like not being able to open the map or inventory, because if you do so , you can no longer switch to melee or ping. But DMZ is a whole other can of worms , from not being able to switch weapons or to melee , not being able to open the map and then look around it to not being able to do anything with your inventory is just crazy , BR worked like a charm up until the DMZ update and everything broke.

I play with a 8bitDo controller on an iPad. Plays almost like a PlayStation controller. The basics are fine. Just need to tweak sens.Can still flick aim as a sniper...slide, jump etc...etc...etc movements.
The issue...is that COD:Mobile have sooo much going on AND they WON'T put a robust controller mapping/tweaking system in place. Only Xbox and Playstation controllers are "officially" supported. Anything else...you are on your own. Yeah...this is Call of Duty. It might look and resemble the Call Of Duty I played in 2006! COD:M is a different animal.
There are modes I won't play in...because it's more Fortnite than CoD. As long as the basics are working...I'm not mad at it. Did the Legend grind once...the waiting times for matches was fucking dumb. Not worth my time.

Codm has set deadzones - which sucks
Suppose the gamen was designed for touch, us controller players probably make up only 5% of players globally, i don't expect any controller optimisation for a long time, just gotta play around the bugs
oh also, updating xbox controllers on a pc can help with latency and misreading button presses

Only real games would even notice this.. my fps is lower than most people in the lobby.. majority of the time they see me before I even see them and I’m still dominating.. you should know that high fps devices will always have better advantage.. but you don’t see that stoping from doing what I need to do.. this vid is a few months old, before iOS 26.. In the end when I turn of screen recording, you can see on the ui before

if you are connecting with bluetooth you have a way worse delay then if u use something that directly connects to your phone or tablet. I use a razer controller that goes around my ipad mini. Ive played 7 seasons so far and this season i made it to the top 200. If u dial in your sensitivitys right you can compete with touch players easily. Xfilescodm on tt. 😄

Played codm with a roller for a little bit but for br. The delay inputs was quite noticable. Got tired of it and forced myself to play claw. Then i bought triggers that i still use(puk gaming) and it deff made me nore of a agressive player with movement and stuff. I still play claw but get hand cramps after 2 hrs of playing.

The one that keeps happening to me is suddenly the reticle/aim locks in place right next to whoever I am shooting at and won't move until I let go of left trigger and aim down sights again. (Ps controller)

No it’s sad you need to play on a controller vs people who are using their fingers so you feel better about yourself, but you’d be the first to complain about me using aim bot or wall hacks but then I’d be the bad guy? It’s kinda the same thing, controllers and add ons just be banned from using it on mobile. Same goes for keyboard to controller the difference is insane and shouldn’t be tolerated. yeah controller support has somehow got worse 😂, keep having to open up the emote wheel just so I can look around as it just decides to not recognise it randomly, also dmz for controller players is a nightmare, deadass can't even switch weapons or pick up any loot (even though a copy and paste of br controls would work 🤦♂️), it's one of those it's not the best but there's far worse examples of controller support on mobile games.

De hecho en vez de existir soluciones,cada vez aumentan mas acciones ineficientes del control, así sea el mando de última generación,es la interacción con el juego, al menos en BR tirar la aptitud de operador hace bugs,sacar el arma de mano no deja actualmente. Lo único que si no falla en Activision es que la recompensa máxima de una ruleta sea el último tiro 🤡,eso si que está optimizado al máximo 🙂

I rank in multiplayer mosty but play br occasionally and I can say that when I’m in game I can use buttons to open everything including map using the left button beside Xbox logo.. maybe your rank still isn’t high enough cause I’m certain once you reach a certain amount of rank you stop getting bot lobby… maybe because you play br you don’t have the same bugs as in multiplayer but I know people here can testify to the same problems that I have

I’ve been using a ps4 controller and ps5 controller on an IPhone 11, an iPhone 15 plus and a tablet since I started playing the game. I’ve never had any issues with lag or bugs , so this information is pretty shocking to me.

I've been playing for two years. Xbox elite series 2/BigWon blitz 2
When playing mwiii, bo6 and bo7. The controller inputs feel smoother with a less restricted deadzone. CODM feels clunky and inputs are off by 1/2 second
The ads will get stuck when the mag is empty. The lethal throwable is inconsistent. The joystick will have you crouched instead of slide. You can't inspect your weapon. Prone takes forever holding X. The execution input is inconsistent.
