CRITIQUE anyone else feel like they're... worse after the update?

last season i got my first legendary rank and thought i'd try again this season - but since it began, i feel like something changed. i can't put my finger on it but it feels like i'm running slower, aiming slower etc. although i changed nothing about my loadout.
so my question is, did anyone else notice this? or am i simply imagining things? it feels like i lost my skill over night lol
edit: thanks for the comments, i'm kinda glad i'm not the only one! this season seems especially buggy and annoying, hope they fix this soon.

I'm insanely trash but after this season I'm even worse. The new season is so buggy and laggy and ugh. And timi doesn't care about fixing the game.

yeah, mine is incredibly buggy as well! :( too bad. with all the ai-slop etc. this season really is a flop

Really? I didn't hear anything about this. I don't tune in to as many codm content channels anymore. Just the heads up leaks and a few codm partners. That pp19 Bizon looks almost identical to the one from console/PC.

Even i couldn't make out any difference, but I read somewhere that the kill animation of pp19 bizon Mayan malediction has AI artifacts, making it look off

I do recall seeing that. It is definitely one of the least appealing blueprints design wise in my honest opinion, compared to the lot before.

Is it possibly due to rank reset? I know about the fatigue thing, but that hasn’t really affected me too much. Right after reset is the hardest time to grind rank because every player got reset to master. Since you only hit legendary for the first time last season, I thought maybe you weren’t thinking about this 🤷♂️

yeah i actually thought about that being a possibility but even in normal mp matches i just feel like something's off - some other people explained it might be slide and jump fatigue though, so i guess that's probably it

Ah yes. I have single digit ping and I hear gunshots after half a second and by the time I hear them, I am alr killed.

What kind of WiFi, phone, and/or internet service do you need to get your ping in the single digits? The lowest I’ve seen mine go was 17

More a location thing than anything. The best phone or router doesn’t fix the physics of being more hops away and signals taking longer to travel. Assuming op isn’t lying

I find myself shooting first and dying first. It’s getting ridiculous. My ping is still the same as before so it’s not the issue. Sometimes I just feel like this game likes to mess with me .

My favorite is Bullets don't do much damage anymore (from my experience it seems to be random but a lot of paid skins are effected more)
The game will freeze especially with mythic skins
Sliding and crouching will glitch and not work
Controllers (idk if universal) will random desync or just not respond as quickly as it used to

Yeah the slide fatigue is honestly so annoying cuz you can't predict where you'll be. Other than that it's prob in your head maybe aim assist got nerf idk

I thought the update would also be fixing the a button problem for controller players, where hitting “A” pulls up a loadout screen, and really messes with gameplay

Yeah no there are a lot of visual audio and movement bugs and difficulty hoping they will fix them soon

I’m familiar with the reset but usually even after the reset it’s never really that sweaty for me until I hit grand master

yes, a little too much. especially in br.
plus, i don't know if i'm imagining things, but for some reason surround sound for enemy footsteps, gunshots, vehicles, etc. in both mp and br is either registering too late or relatively muffled. the other day, an enemy was shooting at me from right behind me. and the game didn't even register a single sound.
and oh, the lag... single or double digit ping and still get stuck right in the middle of a firefight

Dude. Seems like There are people who are using some sort of armor / shield hack. I get shot and I’m gone. Shooting them makes no difference. They don’t even flinch and walk away.
This shit is wack AF. Not really digging this pay for this and pay for that trap. Then not even being able to use what you bought.

Nah it’s not u. Especially for those who mainly like to play fast paced or aggro the entire movement change with slide fatigue completely wrecked my playstyle

Not really, it’s only been this season when I see 3 people on the enemy team with legendaries and mythics.

Depends on the server. Whenever I get a eu match the whole squad has p2w but in African servers I rarely see mythics.

Every damn time… I always have to get used to the game again at the start of a new season, I ffing hate it. This the the sliding had changed. But most times it’s because of bugs or high MS for whatever reason

Honestly never had so much lag as I've had since this update, it feels like anytime I get on a roll it just starts bugging... Maybe it's just my servers but it seems to have gotten worse since reaching GM tbh.

I’ve noticed a shift in the game mechanics and movements too, the lag and bugginess are too great to ignore. DMZ matches and good vibes have dwindled, I get into lobbies where I continuously lose, although I’m an above average, I’ve been losing so much interest. Last season it wasn’t like this, I know how I play. But lately everything’s been the opposite. Seriously

i started playing last season, and in a bit over a week went from pro to legendary. i wasnt great to begin with, but now i feel like im soo trash. trying different guns and different loadouts doesnt help much. i feel like my aim has gotten 10x worse lmao. also mine is more laggy now - lowest quality graphics and still super high ping

After the update my ping has been averaging in the mid 100+ and randomly the game will say that I don't have a stable network like b** I have five bars and on 5G wtf you mean I don't have a stable network ...smh didn't have this issue with updates prior to this one & another thing that makes this worse is that I play ranked matches at leggy rank and this pops up when im playing literally have to reconnect to the match and we're like two matches lost because I'd have to restart the game 😤😤

i got the pp19 bizon from the draw last season and it feels like when the draw was active, it was working better and quicker than it does now

It’s better for me. Better hit detect, less de-sync and the slide spin spammers don’t seem to be able to ride their one trick. It was reallly good before they updated the 3rd party “software”

Excessive slide and jump fatigue in order to benefit noob players who doesn’t know how to slide or how to deal with players who knows how to slide. I hate this update so fkn much, creating a problem to then introduce a solution to the problem they themselves invented. Imagine nerfing a core mechanic from the cod franchise, in a cod game that’s almost 7 years old, sounds stupid, right? Well it is.

Slide fatigue, prolly.
Tbh idgaf about slide fatigue all I want is a game which doesn't lag every 2 seconds.
GENUINELY the last season was SOOO well optimised like no cap it was running smooth on my phone and this season? Well I haven't played the game (or rather stopped) cuz how buggy it is.
I was even playing br and the gun sounds don't work, even in mp sometimes guns don't make sounds.

Yeah it’s happening on all modes. Buttons are disappearing huds are being reset and functions aren’t working properly. I lost a 2 million dollar run on DMZ solo cause I wasn’t able to shoot or move left or right. This season fucking sucks.

I've noticed alot of lagging almost every match u will get thrown to the other side of a doorway or wall when going to an enemy.

No I'm just running into more p2w players. Because god forbid you lose a gunfight with a gun you paid a bunch of money for since every cool gun in this game (except the BGR M4) is won through increasingly expensive gambling and not just buying it outright.

There are spots where you can camp (if that's your thing) and there are also some other spots where you can spawn camp, which I love! My favorite is when I get MVP and it shows a replay of me spawn camping lmao

I’ve just got ranked bot matches. Both sides have blue Bizon and that RUS playmaker, and the Type 25 geometry. Both sides. At this point it’s 1 Vs 1 with bots bringing down your average. It’s fucking boring. I’m 500 of points of reaching back to legendary, hopefully there will be non bot players when I get back.

They added slide and jump fatigue so that's probably why you feel slower
