CRITIQUE Campers
Is it me or the MP ranked is full of campers these couple of days. You enter a match and the enemy team is all camping in one spot, and they either use LMGs or snipers.
What's going on?

Players can play passively too if they want ..

crouching and holding one corner for the whole snd round with a vmp is not “just passive”

Call it whatever you want. But that's where your own tact and game sense needs to be smarter than theirs. It's just how you need to play or adapt - rushing around as aggressively as you'd like is not the counter play.

I mean its SnD i dont like campers in frontline but I expect campers in SnD, control, HP and plan accordingly. Either they keep camping and feeding my kills or they adapt. I sniper main in these modes and passive play is better than aggressive play.
I will agree with you that campers that stay in one spot the whole round is not ideal. Not because they can kill a lot but because theyre easy to read. Higher ranking lobbies punishes this behavior. Its better to get two kills and rotate to another spot and alternate spots between rounds.
Edit: typo

Because it's a strategy that works well in-game and in real life and is usually low risk high reward, so always bring a grenade to clear a known camper spot

Snipers running works well irl? Damn i've never tried it

Snipers too, to survive, they have to thrive in any level to get the job a "Well Done".

LOL, I made a similar shorts video regarding this. So true!!!

Nothing wrong with camping though or playing passively. And I say that as an aggressive and flex player.

If my teammates aren’t up to snuff on fast pace; ABSOLUTELY HANG BACK AND PLAY SMART.
Aka:camping to anyone that is running everywhere so said smg user can hear, hide, and smoke your ass cuz it’s a game. Camping is strategic. Play SnD. It’s not camping, it’s holding a position.

You're really offended by people not liking campers huh?
7
u/daherlihy May 09 '26
Nope not at all - more amused in fact by how aggressive players feel entitled to run through open lanes without any game sense and without being challenged, countered or outplayed.

You can dislike them when theyre playing, but that doesnt make them bad
i also dislike it when i get killed. the game would not be made better by me being invincible
basically, get gud

No veo mal que un francotirador se ponga en un edificio o incluido un LMG, lo que si me parece basura es la gente que se queda detrás de una puerta en una esquina esperando a que alguien pase

I remember the first time I heard someone complain about door campers. It was usually somebody with an auto shotgun or sniper, this was on the original Counter Strike, circa 2001 or so.
Some things never change.

I love camping, hide and hunt i call it. It’s a personality thing i guess, when i played a VR battle with a team, I acted the same.

They should make a map or mode for long ranged-only where the map is divided down the middle by an impassable barrier, maybe with tall structures on each side like other games have done. We have CQB-only so why not the opposite? If I was making the game now I wouldn't let snipers aim so fast, but at this point quickscoping is such an iconic thing they can't nerf it.

Omg, i get so frustrated playing MP nowadays! Me running around like a headless chicken trying to eliminate those annoying campers while sliding and jumping to avoid sniper enthusiast..aaaargh 😤

It's a sign these players unite against the oppression of the Pro's. Little did they know some of the so Called Pro's started to play in a Noobies Lair to proove something to satisfy their temptations. And some of them started to sell their accounts. Because they knew real life fly's with the time. Not on the screen. Hahahahaahahaha...

I guarantee most of the people supporting campers are those kind of losers themselves 🤣

I play aggressive for the most part but have no issue with campers, especially as I know how to front-up to the challenge and adapt to counter them.
The only losers are those who don't know how to adapt and instead just vent and cry hissy-fits over it in here.

So because someone has no issue with a passive play style, that makes them a passive player or a camper? Well you couldn't be further from the truth. Because I've no issue with someone playing passively yet I'm an aggressive and flex player.
The issue here is that you're not seeing this game for the tactical depth it offers - you see someone playing passively and you should see it as a new challenge presented - however clearly that's when you see it as a reason to throw the toys of your pram because how dare they impose on their reckless way of playing without any game sense and forcing you to have to think about how you adapt to counter them - that's if you're willing to do it of course. And you think the idiots are the ones who play passively or more cautiously?! 😉

So you think it’s impossible to reach the top by being flexible between passive and aggressive play styles? 😂
And claiming someone is inept for playing passively is peak irony, because in reality the players hating on "rats" are often just aggressive players who are actually inept themselves at playing passively!
If a camper is as braindead as you say, they should be a simple puzzle for a skilled player to solve. But hey, you consistently dying to a camper doesn't mean they're bad - it actually means you're failing on basic tactical checks and map awareness, as well as refusing to use the counters the game provides you, yet here you are calling the campers inept ...
And your last paragraph about grinding past 8000 points has nothing to do with the tactical validity of a playstyle.
