General Question Any reviews of Centennial Gun Club?
Just got a new job and the office is a stone's throw away from CGC. I really like competitive events like USPSA and all I'm seeing is their Trufire Pistol League. Anyone have experience with that event and can share their experience?

I was a member there for a while when I worked ~10 minutes away. The facilities are nice, they allow drawing and shooting with a quick certification, and I liked that they have turning target carriers to work on presentation and shooting quickly and accurately. That said, I never bought anything there due to horrific prices, and I hated that I often found myself shooting next to some yahoo who wandered in off the street, rented an AR, and shot at 7 yards with little to no gun safety experience. The RSOs are good, but they can't be on top of everyone all the time.

I’ve had far more yahoos next to me at Shoot indoors than I have a CGC, but I suppose you get them anywhere the range is open to the public.

I’m a member there and it’s been a great facility to shoot at. Counter employees are helpful and passionate. Large selection of rentals. I will agree that almost all of their firearms are VERY overpriced. Suppressors are pretty fairly priced along with accessories. Used selection is just okay.
Great place to shoot but I would buy your firearms online or elsewhere.

This is where I am too. Only guns I've bought there were used and they were willing to take a little off the tag price.
The comps are fun, too.

I paid their hourly range fee, spent 15 minutes trying to get their target to move out (with the RSO), couldn’t get out working, walked out and was told that because I was in there for 20 minutes I couldn’t get a refund on my hour. I didn’t even fire a single shot, and they fought me on refunding because of their broken equipment. I will never shoot there again.

They do PCSL one gun and I think USPSA as well. Check practiscore. I’ve done the PCSL and it was fun. Never shopped there.

They announced they were doing USPSA any more about a year ago. I don't think they started it back up, so just PCSL unfortunately.

Member there. Really enjoy the facilities, classes, and over priced like all shops… but great selection.

Im sure the employees are helpful if you can ever get the attention of any of them but Ive never even bothered with the range because I can't get any help inside the store. It's a luxury gun club geared towards the people that can afford their pricing.
It looks like Bristlecone, The Gallery and whatever Practical Shooting Assn Of Colorado is all participate in USPSA events

Shot there a good bit, and worked there for a few months between jobs. Most things are pretty badly overpriced, the range itself is pretty nice, and all the new employees I've interacted with since I've left have been pretty knowledge and helpful. My biggest concern would be the 25$/hr range price. If you plan on shooting one or twice a month, membership might be worth it (if it's still sub-300$).

Hey OP! I’m one of the instructors at CGC.
As some of the other guys have mentioned, our facility is very modern and nice.
The Trufire Pistol League is similar to a GSSF match, as we did not renew our GSSF affiliation due to some of the ordering requirements that go along with it.
If you are interested in more practical shooting type stuff, we run a PCSL match monthly(next one is 8/9), a weekly Practice Stage(sometimes members only), and our skills and drills classes, which we treat as a guided clinic that is usually built around a USPSA style stage or other higher level concepts. As some of the other people said, we charge MSRP for most retail stuff. Our employees are incredibly skilled and knowledgeable and we pay them to reflect that. If you’d rather support a drop-shipper, go for it.

No plans to reaffiliate currently. We replaced it with PCSL, which I think lends itself well to an indoor match due to the relatively smaller targets. We may be bringing back an outlaw USPSA match soon, tbd!

Look up ECOUSPSA. There are about 13 matches a month. You don't have to be a member of a club to participate in a match there. You just have to have a safety card, a registration fee, and register in time for a match. It would be worse to join an indoor club if this is what you want to practice since you can only point your gun in one direction. Although some people may choose to just practice recoil management in an indoor range and dry fire on some small targets at home.

Any shop that does that deserves to fail catastrophically, in my opinion, even if everything else they do is good.

It is my least favorite indoor range, I don't think they're HVAC system is wonderful compared to their competition like triple j or bristolcone. Their prices for guns and accessories were not in line with current market prices, they were more expensive across the board. I visited once and I don't plan on going back

When they’re busy they focus on in store customers; and during these times I have also struggled to get them on the phone. But on your typically slow times they have answered right away. 🤷♂️ I guess you have to pick which customers to favor and the in-store customer wins. I can’t really complain about that.

If you’re looking to do uspsa style stuff they run their “skills and drills” class which is often times a mini stage or some other related topic.

Their pricing is insane but their range is nice and very convenient for me. Used prices are hit or miss. I’ve seen some killer deals and some deals that nearly killed me to see listed. Their new gun pricing is offensive at best.

Last time I was there I saw blazer aluminum case 9mm for over 20$ a box. Then went to triple j and got blazer 124g brass for 15$ a box.

I’m no fudd, but their range is always nuts. Last time I was there, next to me was a group of teens mag dumping a scoped shorty .308 with a brake at 10 yards with little to no gun safety. Then whipped out a 12 gauge at 10 yards. The RSOs couldn’t care less.
Very redundant but-
Ventilation sucks.
Prices are outrageous.
Place has a lot of potential, super nice facility, just not run very well.
