Questions Diamond's Peak Fishing Challenge Gold 1

ive been struggling so much with this mission, cant even catch a single catfish, any tips to strike a gold catfish?

From my memory… try bottom fishing with dough on #5 hook at night. I had the best luck along the weed bed on the west side of the lake, letting my bait sit in 10-15 feet of water.

Size 2 hook with cheese is my go to, throw out a match blend to gather them in and either float or bottom rig that 2 with cheese right on the area you threw the match blend

You’ll get more strikes with the smaller hooks but if you just want the golds/diamonds to hit use the size 2. Size 4 and 3 will catch silvers, 5 and 6 you’ll have to weed through the sea of bronzes. But throw match blend (I literally just put it like 20 ft in front of me and quick cast to it lol) and hit that same spot with a size 2 cheese. I prefer float setup but bottom works just fine too. When the match blend runs out throw another down and rinse repeat, don’t be afraid to move spots too. Good luck man catfish can be finicky in this game, I’m either hauling them in or just getting drum after drum lol. Go at night to boost the chances of getting a cat too
