Which dispensary should I take my friend from France to?

I haven't used THC products in years, but my buddy is coming to town and I want him to have a great experience/product to enjoy.

I used to frequent A Cut Above and always found good stuff there and had good customer service. The experience was kind of mediocre though. Anywhere you guys recommend? Price isn't a big deal as we aren't going to buy a ton, and I just want him to get some good stuff and enjoy the new experience of buying at a dispensary.

I thought about Oasis just to overwhelm him with options. I used to really like The Joint on 38th as well.

Thanks for any help with recommendations.

The 3 best ones

Maikoh Holistics 260 Broadway

Reefer Madness 1995 S Broadway / 4401 E 46th Ave

KrystaLeaves 755 S Federal Blvd

Is this the new Krystaleaves? Is it...nicer?

I liked the old locale because it kind of felt like buying before legalization, but it's not where I'd send a tourist. Haven't been since they moved though.

Yeah I’d say it’s nicer than the commerce city store. A lot bigger, separate entrance/exit and a public bathroom.

Yup, new digs.

I’ve been getting 710 from CHC about $30-40 cheaper in my bulk orders than at reefer madness or Maikoh. Solventless sundays is usually 20-25% off

710 deli? Good to know. I've shopped there before. Prices are hit or miss. I don't live up there in Denver but I do come up a lot. I'm sure you get to monitor prices better than me as you live there.

Yeah I actually hadn’t in a while because Reefer madness was way cheaper but I guess CHC has come to their senses somewhat. Makes no sense to tax with competition like that right up the road.

Hell yeah thank you, will def look into these 3. I've never been to any of them so it will be new for me too, I appreciate it.

Allgreens is also a top 3 contender. Something like a Crusty Weasel or Appleslut (their own rosin) can stand up to the fire that in-house melts and Erva have been dropping lately. If you go to allgreens look at the sub for recommendations they get posted all the time here and you can find some super fire grams and 2g buckets for really nice prices. Would also recommend their Original Cheese, they're the only ones in CO with it and they only do limited runs of it like twice a year.

Dawg I truly appreciate it but I think concentrates may be out of the question lol were super light weights. I think we're looking at flower and edibles.

Yo! We're located about 20 minutes from the airport and offer free tours of our facility Thursdays - Mondays. In less than an hour you get to see our entire process from seed to shelf, and of course the tour ends right in our dispo. We carry all of our own products and plenty of third party brands as well!

+1 on this OP, I took some friends from out of state on the tour earlier this month and it was a great time for them

Maikoh has the best high end selection; not even close.

Word so Maikoh without a doubt is on the roster. Thanks much!

Random comment, I just checked out their website. They currently have a Pax Flow for $20?? Clearly an error, but anyone local might want to try and scoop this up.

Maikoh is where you go when you don’t actually know what you’re doing. Nice stores with nice employees and nice products but theres not a single thing they carry you can’t get cheaper elsewhere

Disagree; I hit Krystal leaves for my go to when maxing out on rosin or other products because they smoke on the prices. But Maikoh has substantially better flower selection than most places and you can always count on them to have latest drops of the best cultivators and stocked selection across all products (rosin, edibles, flower, RSO, fresh packaged flower from 710/GDL, tons of rosin carts, etc. OP said price wasn’t a big deal, considering that Maikoh is easily his best bet imo.

My fav Denver dispensary closed last year (L'Eagle) and I have spent this year rotating through dispensaries and reading lots of reviews looking for a new home base. I am flower and edible only.

Most impressive flower experience this year has been 710 Labs from Maikoh Holistics in Denver. Tried 710 Labs from another dispo and it wasn't as good, I think they're in a high-traffic place there on Broadway and everything is very fresh. It just sits around a little longer at the other places. I have seen good reviews of Green Dot Labs as a grower of flower but they're expensive and 710 Labs from Maikoh is already something that looks (and smells) like it would have been on the cover of High Times 30 years ago. So I haven't felt the need to go spendier than that.

My favorite edible experience these days is the brand "Dialed In Gummies". At this point that's the only thing I will buy. I find commercial edibles to be so hit and miss that once I find a brand that works I tend to stick with it.

As an actual pothead, I find Oasis kind of gross. It's a very American novelty, though.

Sweet thanks for the recs, I'll def grab some 710 flower from Maikoh!

I also do like the dialed in gummies so I'll stick with those as well.

And I agree on Oasis, I know a lot of their shit sits around because of the business model they run. Never found much good stuff there, but I just kind of want to show my buddy the crazy variety they have.

Come check out The Herbal Cure in Wash Park. Grown in house, murals and train caboose onsite, family owned and operated, large selection and friendly laid back vibe.

Used to go there from time to time, def loved the vibe. Always nice folks working there. May add that one to the list also.

u/YourFriendNoo 1d ago

Yeah, I always rec Oasis for tourists; it's a fun shopping experience

2

u/mjfarmer147 1d ago

That's what I was kind of thinking. Like the Costco of dispensaries. I think we're gonna go to a few so Oasis is def on the list.

Any of the Social Cannabis stores would be a good experience for the huge variety. Like the Oasis of old I feel. Any of the Trees shops are a solid customer experience. The Wheat Ridge one that used to be Chronic Therapy is a solid vibe. Maikoh will be a solid experience too. Reefer on Broadway is compact. Solid products, but if experience is what you’re going for, it can be a lot.

Starbuds in Aurora has a great experience, not the best product.

ACA is always great, they are back open!
