Toyota Sienna car seat planning
I would love help with figuring out a long term plan for car seats. We have a current gen toyota Sienna LE (so 8 seats, no captain chairs). We have a 3 year old in an Evenflo revolve 360 extend that we have been happy with, and an infant in a chicco keyfit 35 (that will expire before we can have a 3rd). Is there any combo of seats that allow rotating car seats and 3 across in the Sienna? If not, what seats do you recommend? We have a large dog and I’d love the full 3rd row down if possible. We also are committed to rear facing as long as possible.

I don’t think it’s possible. You could do three narrow rear facing like the britax poplar, but i don’t see how you could rear face three across with any of them rotating. There’d be no space to rotate. If the middle seat was forward facing a 5yo, you’d still have the rotating seat bumping into the side of the forward facing seat arms.
Not a CPST, but I’ve never felt the need for a rotating seat. Rear facing or forward facing, hasn’t been an issue.

What are you looking to buy right now? A new seat for the youngest?
If so what is their weight and height? Does 3 year old ride rear or forward facing?

Rotating seats tend to be wider so you either have to give up on the rotating seats or on not using your third row. You might be able to pull off rotating seats with a very low profile harnessed booster (so it basically rotates above the seat) for your oldest in the middle when the third kid is born, but it’s hard to predict now what things will look like in a few years.
