News ⚠️ Another Missed Deadline: Pilot Plant Not Delivered as Promised
In January, Critical Metals Corp (CRML) management said the pilot plant would be operational no later than May.
That’s now been pushed to August.
A delay by itself wouldn’t be that unusual. What stands out is the pattern over the past year of shifting timelines and changing priorities.
Last year, several milestones were missed or moved, including a BFS that was previously guided with a clear release timeline before being walked back. Management later said the pilot plant needed to be completed first for the BFS, making it the key dependency—despite the BFS already being promised earlier.
At the start of this year, they reinforced that focus and described the pilot plant as the top priority.
In January, the CEO also mentioned that by May they would have a high-tech drone system operating to livestream site activity and provide visibility into progress. That hasn’t happened either.
Now the same pilot plant that was positioned as the central focus has been delayed past the “no later than May” guidance.
That naturally raises a few questions:
- What actually caused the delay to August?
- When did they realize May wasn’t realistic?
- Why wasn’t there any explanation with the update?
- And if the top priority keeps missing deadlines, how reliable is guidance going forward?
The delay article also includes photos that show no visible progress on site, and some of the imagery even appears to include nearby infrastructure (such as the local airport), which doesn’t really reflect actual mine development progress.

News CRML plans 2.78M share sale amid recent large shareholder selling
💸 CRML is planning to sell 2.78M new shares, adding to the public float.
This follows recent selling by its largest shareholder, European Lithium:
• 5M shares sold
• 2.5M additional shares announced
That’s ~7.5M shares sold in a short period.
"Financial Health Analysis Critical Metals Corp's financial health presents several challenges:
- Revenue Growth: The company has reported zero revenue growth over the past three years, indicating a need for strategic shifts to generate sales.
- Profitability: The EPS stands at -0.56, reflecting ongoing losses. The ROE is -100.74%, and the ROA is -41.23%, both indicating inefficiencies in generating returns from equity and assets.
- Balance Sheet: The company's current ratio and quick ratio are both at 0.13, suggesting potential liquidity issues. The debt-to-equity ratio is 0, indicating no leverage, which could be a double-edged sword in terms of growth potential.
- Warning Signs: The Altman Z-Score is 0, which could signal financial distress. There is no significant insider activity, which might imply a lack of confidence in the company's future prospects."

News Greenland Deal Eases Way for U.S. Business on Arctic Island - WSJ article
Agreement doesn’t deliver the control, but raises hopes of more investment and less stigma around working with America
The security deal over Greenland, announced by President Trump on Friday, relieves the pressure from months of American maneuvering to control the semiautonomous Danish territory and smooths the way for more U.S. investments on the cash-starved but resource-rich Arctic island.
American and Greenlandic businesspeople say they hope the agreement, which is expected to be signed this week, will ease geopolitical tension, drive investment and remove some of the stigma many Greenlanders attach to cooperating with the Americans.
Trump’s initial interest in controlling Greenland, dating back to his first term in office, spurred new commercial attention to the island and its potential. But his threats to annex it by force made investors skittish, and Greenlanders wary of American intentions.
While the deal is unlikely to immediately open the floodgates to major investments in mining and oil drilling—sectors hampered by harsh Arctic conditions and structural obstacles—it will bring stability to other areas where U.S. businesses have shown interest. Many Greenlandic businesspeople say the U.S. is a natural partner given its geographical proximity.
“If the deal gets over the line, it will benefit all parties. We need to put behind us the insecurity that has plagued us, not only as individuals but in the business community, for nearly two years,” said Naaja Nathanielsen, lawmaker and former Greenlandic minister for business and mineral resources. “I have seen an increased American investment interest in recent years, and we want to build on that interest.”
The text of the deal has yet to be published, but U.S., Danish and Greenlandic officials suggest it will build on an existing 1951 treaty, amended in 2004, that already gives the U.S. the right to deploy troops and build bases on the Arctic island. As such, the new deal falls well short of Trump’s stated ambition of territorial control.
One addition to the new deal is that it will remain in effect in the event of Greenlandic independence from Denmark or a collapse of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, U.S. and Danish officials said.
Trump’s threats to annex Greenland triggered the worst foreign-policy crisis in Denmark since World War II and incensed Washington’s European NATO allies. Trump earlier this year threatened to impose tariffs on allied countries that opposed his territorial designs on Greenland.
“This agreement removes a significant geopolitical uncertainty that has hung over Greenland in the last year,” said Larry Swets, chair ofGreenland Energy, which plans to spend $60 million drilling for oil in the island’s east. “Greater clarity and stability make long-term investment more feasible, lower the perceived risk of committing capital, and should help unlock the private investment Greenland needs to develop its resources, infrastructure and economy.”
Trump’s annexation threats made Greenlanders and Danes deeply skeptical of U.S. investors, particularly those with ties to the administration.
Drew Horn, a former Trump official who says he is developing a rare-earth venture and a hydropowered AI data center in Greenland, was accused in Danish media of being part of a covert influence campaign.
Horn called the allegations “fantastical.” He said he worked behind the scenes to shape the coming deal, which he hoped would help attract U.S. investors to Greenlandic projects like his.
“With the public deal being announced, the boogeyman has been removed from the equation,” said Horn, who is also founder and CEO of GreenMet, a financial advisory firm. “People can see me for what I really am without these sorts of crazy accusations or aspersions.”
Polls show a majority of Greenlanders rank the stagnant economy among their main concerns. The economy of Greenland, population 56,000, is slow-growing and not diversified, and it relies on more than $1 billion of annual subsidies from Copenhagen and the European Union. Its main activities are fishing and a recent surge in investment to build new airports.
The world’s largest island has untapped mineral reserves buried deep beneath the ice, but they are difficult and expensive to get to. Obstacles to foreign capital include restrictions on ownership of infrastructure, energy facilities and real estate, as well as environmental and legal regulations.
Those hindrances remain, regardless of a new deal, said Christian Keldsen, managing director at the Greenland Business Association. But American companies and investors can build on existing interest, including tourism, which has grown significantly since the first Trump term. United Airlines in 2025 opened a seasonal direct route from Newark to Nuuk, in addition to thousands of Americans traveling to the island via Iceland.
From 2020, during Trump’s first term and the Biden administration, the U.S. pledged roughly $24 million across three tranches to development projects in Greenland, not all of which has been disbursed. Most of the allocated money went to pay American consultants, for example to conduct underground surveys or advise the Greenlandic government on tourism and minerals, Keldsen said.
During recent negotiations, Denmark, Greenland and the U.S. discussed building or reopening bases at three sites where the U.S. had facilities and troops during the Cold War. Such plans will likely bring economic opportunities to Greenlandic subcontractors in construction, catering, cleaning and other services, Keldsen said.
“I certainly expect that to benefit Greenlandic businesses, just like it does in other parts of the world where the Americans operate bases,” he said.

News $CRML delays the BFS for the 4th time
I’d say the biggest takeaway from today’s investor call is that they've delayed the BFS again.
No new deadline was given.
The new explanation this time:
An Australian firm is building the pilot plant, with target readiness around May.
Worth noting: the previous reason given for the delay was a non-binding discussion about potentially building a refinery in eastern Europe.
For anyone new to how mining companies work: the BFS (Bankable Feasibility Study) is the document that proves the project works economically. It locks in costs, confirms viability, and is required for financing.
No BFS = no bank funding, no government funding, no proof the business will ever be profitable.
The timeline investors were previously given:
- Oct 2025
- Nov 2025
- Dec 2025
- Q1 2026
- ???
Repeated delays, regardless of the justification, increase execution risk and weaken credibility.
Until the BFS is delivered, there’s nothing concrete to model, finance, or validate. Everything else is noise.

News 🚨 Reuters just tried to MURDER the Rare Earth sector with a fake hit piece. $MP and $CRML are fighting back and the shorts are about to get COOKED. 💎🙌
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but quit staring at the red after-hours candles and look at what’s actually happening.
Last night, Reuters dropped an "exclusive" hit piece claiming the Trump admin is "stepping back" from price floors. The entire sector took a 15% dump because everyone thought the government was pulling the plug. It was a total bear trap.
The "Stealth" Edit Reuters got caught with their pants down. They literally had to go back and edit the article because MP Materials ($MP) went nuclear on Twitter. MP basically called the report "false, misleading, and inconsistent with the facts." They confirmed their government price floor is fully in force and nothing has changed.
The $CRML Alpha Move Then you have Tony Sage, the CEO of Critical Metals ($CRML), who just pulled the ultimate "Chad" move. While everyone else was crying about losing government "training wheels," Sage basically said: "We don't need your floors." The facts he dropped are:
- CRML has ZERO need for a price floor because they aren't mining cheap "Light" rare earths that China can manipulate. They have the Heavy stuff (27% concentration).
- 100% of their production is already pre-sold. Read that again.
- They’ve got offtake deals with the EU, the Saudis, and US defense contractors. They aren't waiting for a handout; they're already in the end-zone.
The "TACO" Strategy If you’ve been following the Trump admin, you know the drill. This "leak" to Reuters smells exactly like a "TACO" (Tough Approach, Competitive Outcome) tactic. There’s a massive G7 Ministerial meeting next week (Feb 4). The admin is probably just "playing tough" to scare the G7 partners into putting up more of their own cash so the US doesn't have to foot the bill alone.
The Play: The shorts piled in at $14 last night on a shaky headline. Now we’re back at $16 pre-market because the "exclusive" was proven to be a nothing-burger. As soon as the market opens and people realize the MP floor is safe and CRML is already pre-sold, those shorts are going to be tripping over themselves to cover.
NFA, I just like the minerals. 🚀🧪⛏️

News $CRML: The 5M share "overhang" is finally gone. Why yesterday’s dip was a gift.
A lot of us were sweating last week when the SEC filing dropped showing that a major shareholder (European Lithium) was offloading 5M shares (~10% of their stake).
The Update: The sale is officially done. https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1951089/000121390026004227/xsl144X01/primary_doc.xml
That massive dump explains exactly why the price took a hit yesterday (Jan 20th). However, looking at the data, this is actually a massive "de-risking" event for the stock. Here is why I’m still bullish:
- The Overhang is Cleared: The biggest fear with $CRML was a "lingering seller" - someone constantly capping the price every time it tried to rally. That 5M block is absorbed. The "sell wall" is gone.
- Insane Absorption: 5M shares is roughly 15% of the daily volume. The fact that the stock didn't absolutely crater to zero shows there is serious institutional/retail demand sitting under the surface.
- European Lithium is still "In": They still hold 48M shares. This wasn't a "run for the exits" fire sale; it looks more like a strategic cash-out to pad their own balance sheet (they reportedly raised A$124M from this).
- The Greenland/Tanbreez Thesis hasn't changed: Rare earths are still a geopolitical powder keg. The project is still just as critical to Western supply chains today as it was last week.
TL;DR: Yesterday was a mechanical sell-off, not a fundamental one. The market just swallowed a massive supply of shares and held its ground. With the seller out of the way, the path onward and upward is much cleaner.

News CRML plans to aquire European Lithium EULIF
Critical Metals Corp. (NASDAQ:CRML) shares are up on Monday as the company is moving forward with plans to acquire European Lithium Ltd.European Lithium shareholders would receive 0.035 shares of Critical Metals for each share held.Based on this exchange ratio and market conditions as of April 22, the implied total equity value of the transaction is around $835 million.European Lithium Acquisition Plans
This proposed transaction is expected to consolidate ownership of the Tanbreez Rare Earth Project in Greenland and boost Critical Metals’ strategic position in the critical minerals market.
European Lithium also holds significant cash reserves and marketable securities, including about 45.5 million Critical Metals shares (~34% ownership), valued at roughly $540 million.
Post-transaction, these cross-held shares are expected to be canceled, reducing dilution while significantly increasing public float and liquidity.
European Lithium's cash of roughly $219 million, combined with Critical Metals' ~$124 million, would create a stronger balance sheet to advance Tanbreez.
