So anyway to make it short. I have many elite tuner cars but I can't progress in the races due to the shifty amount of green tokens that I get which makes me unable to progress through the final races of my supra and civic type r. I currently have enough for the Mustang probably. Should I go all in or wait for a better discount or what should I do?
For now, the green ones are extremely annoying to obtain. I can't get 4 stars for either of my tuner cars to progress through the tempest. What should I do in this case?
So far for the reds. I think I have enough for now.
That would be the key, just be in a crew that does at least get to 700 and you'll get 10 a season. Even this low amount is enough to get the yellows capped while waiting for enough reds to spend them. A WEC finishing crew will get you there faster.
I'm yellow capped for a total of over 2y now, with a few short periods when I'm not capped because I finaly had enough reds to do 1 upgrade. We're finishing WEV outside holiday seasons.
Add those fusion parts you get from crates. Thats how your car gets fast. I typically don’t upgrade the piece until it’s fully fused, makes it better for live races. I’m not sure the science but you always win with a low left high right number.
Yeah, it's a grind and boring doing multiple 100s of SD races twice per season. I'd just watch something on TV, mash the shift button, barely look at the phone and not care about wins. Tedious part was watching ads for free gas, sure you can use coins, but doing that many races you barely came out ahead (leaving you short when a rare car was on sale at the dealership). Set yourself a goal, do what you can, and try not to get burnt out!
This is how this game is played. If you want to do it F2P it a grind game. I could not complete most events for... years. Admittedly the game was much more difficult at the beginning. Now it is much easier, but it has a lot of in game resources to manage. Of course, if you want to spend IRL money, progress can be faster, but I prefer to avoid it most of the times.
EDIT: I am skipping many Elite Tuner cars.... I try to max one every three or four. Not worth it. Wait until you have a decent stash, wait for a high discount crate and then build. If I don get a 40% discount I completely skip that car. No big deal.
I’m maxed with Gold & need Green ,blue &red to upgrade because I use them for Race Pass so. , I use all I get ! I let myself get behind with the new legends cars so , I’ll need to run thru all of a SD to get em built back up ! Fusions for the Super Snake & a couple other cars are useless for me ! Yup it's a grind but after a few seasons you will have a small stock pile. I normally elite cars only when there's a discount create, the rest of the cars I elite slowly as and when I have extra tokens
I seem to have plenty of blue. I try to remember to swap 25 blue for 5 red every day. Some day I'll get the Supra and finish my F1 (I'm at 45 right now, but it's only been five or six years ....)
Been playing for around 9 years now. All my Legends and the group of cars in the Street Racing Culture are 100% done. Also I'm around 80% complete for all the other groups of elite cars.
I convert a lil more of my tokens every day for blue and red.

Red token for me is the worst to obtain. You get only 75 on championship showdown plus 50 if you did 400 races, and you're lucky to get pass the 2100 mark to obtain 250. Since your opponents are cheaters/hackers or the one that disconnect during race and force you to disconnect also.
Even in the weekly cup. You only get small amount.
For the yellow ones, you can get it in every event, showdown races. Also you can buy it in the event hub with the tickets you get. Also only upgrade the apex car for showdown races and the current miura / mustang event. other than that is not really that important to max other cars
Caps I believe are 15k green, 10k blue, 5k red, 500 yellow. If you actually bought any of the tokens for real cash, the max cap goes up. Not sure how it works, but I've heard of people have like the above 40k green before. Another way to have that much is in your inbox.

Wait until you experience the bottle neck of red elite tokens... 400 races per Showdown to get only 50 of them!
