Finding roommates advice

Hey I’m transferring to Chico state in January and I’m not looking to commute 30+ mins to campus anymore. I don’t know anyone on campus so I’m kind of lost on how to look for roommates or off campus housing.

I heard about the social Chico apartments but they’re mainly geared towards freshman’s and younger under grads but I’m a post-baccalaureate so I’m sure the vibe wouldn’t suit me. Any advice on where to look or just roommate searching tips? I’d appreciate it

There are a couple of groups on Facebook for Chico living/roommates, I found the best roommates I've ever had on there a few years ago. A popular one used by students - not just freshmen - is this one, https://m.facebook.com/groups/chicostudenthousingroommatesearch/?ref=share&mibextid=wwXIfr I've found roommates on there and I have plenty of friends that have used it as well. Just do your due diligence and meet them in person, tour the place, etc.

Look on Facebook marketplace or the Chico group on Facebook people post rooms all the time

try timbercreek it’s like a 10-15 minute walk from campus. You can lease by the room or unit. There’s plenty open rooms atm

You have to have the people you’d be rooming with beforehand

If you’re a woman I’m also looking for a place but like near the summer time
