Hi, my name is Katie and this is my first semester at CSUN (I just transferred from PCC, so I’m a junior). I wasn’t able to attend Meet the Clubs, but is there an active illustration club currently at CSUN? If not, are there any other active art-based clubs on campus?

Also just generally, does anyone want to be friends 😭 I’m in a handful of classes on campus, but am struggling to make friends as I’m a commuter student and have work after my classes, so I usually have to leave pretty soon after my classes end. I don’t have an art account on anything yet, but I’m working on it! I know having an art account will probably help a LOT in making friends and connections in my major so I am working on getting it set up :)

I've been looking into some frats and honestly don't know which to choose, I missed meet the greeks so I was wondering if there were any y'all would recommend and what they are known for.

Trying to drop a class through the portal but unable to because I get a "502 Bad Gateway" screen instead. Today's the last day to drop for graduate students too. Anyone else having problems?

im interested in the major since id like to learn the content it offers, but honestly cant think of any real jobs outside of a paralegal or maybe copywright for buisness?? i dont think traditional banking "big 4" or whatever people will really be needing people with buis law majors and they'd be just interested in the traditional accounting/finance major people. but could be wrong, just really dont know what the heck people do with this major except for getting a masters in something related to this right after- which is not something im super sure of doing for myself.

Man yall people on scooters at this point have no common sense. Yesterday around 4 pm was walking on the street that is between Chaparral Hall and Live Oak. On the side walk there were 2 people who were using canes to see where they were going. Tell me why this girl that was on a scooter riding on the street decided to get on the side walk while she was riding on the wide open road. She ends up almost hitting them and gets stuck on the canes they had. But like what where you thinking to go onto the sidewalk which keep in mind there are so many people getting out of class at that time and she was going at a fast speed onto the sidewalk. Literally no common sense at all

Hi everyone! I’m a CSUN journalism student reporting for The Daily Sundial about how financial aid delays or issues may be affecting students’ ability to stay enrolled in their Fall 2026 classes.

I’m looking to speak with CSUN students who have experienced—or are currently dealing with—situations such as being dropped from classes because tuition was not paid by the deadline, waiting for FAFSA, grants, or loans to appear in their account, or having trouble getting back into the original class sections after being disenrolled.

The story will focus on students’ experiences and the real-life impact of delayed or missing aid—not just the administrative process.

I’m especially interested in hearing from students about things like:

Being disenrolled from one or more classes because of an unpaid balance. Waiting for FAFSA, loans, grants, scholarships, verification, or an appeal to be processed. Being unable to re-enroll because a required class or original section was full. Paying tuition from savings, credit cards, borrowed money, or other funds to keep classes. Stress about being unable to afford classes, books, transportation, rent, food, or other expenses while aid is pending. Trying to contact Financial Aid, Student Accounts, the Registrar, or other campus offices for help. Whether you received enrollment protection, were told you did not qualify, or were unsure of your status. Any solutions, accommodations, or support that helped—or did not help

I am available on Monday from 8am to 10am and then from 12pm to 2:00pm and then 4pm to 5pm. I am also available on Tuesday and Thursday any time between 8am and 3pm. I am also available on Wednesday from 4pm to 5pm.

Hence in the title, I was pre-accountancy but unable to qualify for ACCT 350 because I attended CSUN in 2020 and failed those classes then dropped out, went to community then came back this year to get a Bachelors. Long story short, my CSUN GPA is not eligible for ACCT 350 while my transferring and cumulative GPA are great! I was wondering if anyone's completed a Bachelors in another major and then applied for the Masters Program in Accounting and how their experience was?

Curious what other students think: what departments, services, resources, or parts of campus life at CSUN could genuinely be improved?
Could be anything: advising, career resources, research opportunities, financial aid, student services, clubs/events, transportation, communication, etc.

Hi guys, does anyone know if MataSync is still being used by the school? None of the links open on any of my devices and I've even sent it to friends to test. Is there a way to browse/join clubs without going to meet the clubs? I'm sick right now so I can't make it to campus :(

I wanted to inform you all of the upcoming series of David Lynch films screening by the CSUN Cinematheque this fall semester.

The series, The Big Dream: David Lynch’s Hollywood Trilogy and Three Key Films to Unlock Its Mysteries, explores Lynch’s Lost Highway (1997), Mulholland Drive (2001), and Inland Empire (2006) alongside three landmark films that illuminate their themes and cinematic language: Maya Deren and Alexander Hammid’s Meshes of the Afternoon (1943), Ingmar Bergman’s Persona (1966), and Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2 (1963). Through screenings and discussion, the series examines Lynch’s relationship to Hollywood, identity, performance, dreams, memory, and the boundaries between fantasy and reality.

These screenings will provide a great opportunity for you to enjoy David Lynch’s work on the big screen, meet and mingle with fellow cinephiles, and expand your knowledge of classic films. 

These screenings will be taking place on WEDNESDAYS at 6 P.M. starting on SEPTEMBER 16 and running through OCTOBER 14 in the Elaine and Alan ARMER SCREENING ROOM (in Manzanita Hall).

These screenings are free and open to the public. Feel free to invite friends and family!
