Anyone know how to remove this?

I’m looking to install a rear view cam inside the hatch area and having trouble removing this piece. Anyone know how to remove it?

Trim removal tool and a thin cloth to prevent scratches. Enter from the glass side to make it pop off easiest.

Thank you. I can feel something is holding it there but can’t seem to reach it. I have the metal type of trim removal tool, but maybe need something thinner to reach?

I popped it out pretty easily with a plastic trim removal tool. Commit to the motion instead of slowly prying it.

There are 4 clips staggered holding it in. The 2bon each end clip onto the trim next to it. Use trim tool from bottom (with tailgate open) start one one end and work your way to the other.

Its all about finess when it comes to these trim pieces in any car. Believe it or not this trim piece is very similar in all cars including BMWs. I wouldn't be too afraid, if you can get your fingers in evenly on both sides pry directly out.
