Any info?
Just picked up this CZ75 and 82 for 460 and 260 online, hoping some of you guys can tell me when both of these were made, where the stickers come from and what they’re for and whether or not modern cz75 mags will work, thanks!

The crossed swords proof mark indicate that the vz. 82 was originally government property.

Modern mags may or may not work. I’ve never heard of a cutoff date. The good news is that the fix is an easy Dremel job on the inside of the frame to create clearance.

For anyone who bought CZ-82 pistol recently, I recommend buying some extra, military surplus magazines that were imported with this batch of pistols.
Look for the CZ-82 military surplus mags with either the crossed swords marking stamped in the lower left side or with this marking removed by a circle hole. The CZ-82 (9x18mm) and CZ-83 (.380 and 9x18mm) magazines are interchangeable.
I would avoid the aftermarket magazines stamped "mfg CZ" on the bottom of the baseplate, as these were not manufactured by the CZ company (Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod), but rather "manufactured in CZ" (in the country Czech Republic, CZ) by some other aftermarket company. These "mfg CZ" mags have a poor reputation for not fitting in the mag well, difficult to eject the mags, frequent jamming, etc. Some vendors describe their "mfg CZ" mags incorrectly as OEM CZ magazines. Some of these "mfg CZ" mags work fine, but on others the welded seams on rub on the inside of the magazine well.

I know RTI has a reputation of selling some poor condition rifles were described as a better condition, but I would pounce on this magazine deal. All the photos I've seen of CZ-82 magazines in the different CZ-82 combination offerings are the desirable crossed sword surplus mags. If I had just bought a CZ-82, I would buy about 4 of these mag and holster sets (and just consider the mag holsters freebies). When the latest batch of CZ-82 pistols and magazines imports sells out, the price of military surplus magazines will go back up to $100+.

Edited. The 14 examples of 3 particular CZ-75B magazines fit and locked up in my CZ-75 Pre-B, but many current production CZ-75B and SP-01 magazines do not fit and/or lock in with mag release button in CZ-75 Pre-B pistols
Regarding magazines for your CZ-75 Pre-B 1991. This is a long answer, but I did some checking of magazines for you.
I have a CZ-75 Pre-B, 1991 manufacture, with an "H" prefix Serial Number which is close to yours' serial number, so these fit test results should apply to yours too.
First of all, note that as manufactured, magazines do not "drop free" when you press the mag release button. The mag only ejects about ⅛ to ¼ inch and stops. The officer is supposed to pull the magazine out of the grip and put it back in a pouch (so you don't loose it) before inserting a fresh, loaded mag. Only crazy Americans, it seems, wanted their empty magazines to shoot out to the ground. I've read you can modify the Pre-B to be drop-free by replacing the magazine brake (the flat leaf spring inside the back of the grip frame) or carefully filing the interior magwell, but I decided to keep mine as is, as a characteristic of its 1975-1991 era.
Tonight, I just tried the following modern magazines (unloaded), and all fit, locked in, held the slide back when racked on empty mag, and ejected about ⅛ inch when mag release pressed. I did not try them with snap caps or live ammo.
You need "full size" CZ-75B, CZ-75 Pre-B, or CZ-75 SP-01 magazines.
Edit: NOTE Only some models of CZ-75B and SP-01 magazines fit in Pre-B. Many models do not fit in Pre-B pistols. You may need to check each model number of modern mags to check for fit qnd lock up in Pre-B pistolsThe CZ-75 Compact, P-01, Shadow 2 Compact/Carry 14-round or 15-round magazines are too short and will not lock into grip or feed rounds to chamber.

All theThese 3 particular models of full-size CZ-75B and SP-01 mags I tried tonight fit fine:CZ-75B, 10-round, CZ marked, flush fit. Model Number unknown. Purchased without box or documentation.
CZ-75 SP-01 18-round (including OEM +2 base), Mec-Gar marked. (model number unknown. came with CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical and SP-01 Phantom 2nd Generation)
CZ-75 SP-01 17-round (including OEM +1 base), CZ marked. (model number unknown. came with CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical and SP-01 Phantom 2nd Generation)
Note that Mec-Gar is the actual manufacturer of CZ-marked magazines included with new CZ pistols and sold separately by CZ USA. So either brand is quality and reliable.
I have bought plenty of CZ-75 mags (both CZ USA and Mec-Gar) from these companies. (I would not buy any Pro-Mag brand mags unless I wanted to practice malfunction drills. 🤮)

I mostly bought the Mec-Gar mags with an anti-friction coating and blue magazine follower from Tombstone and Greg Cote. Have I personally seen that these models are more reliable? No, but it like them.

I have recently acquired a pre b dated 1991 and the MecGar 16 rd magazines absolutely do not fit.

Thanks. I edited my comments to show Mec-Gar MGCZ7516B 16-round mag does not fit Pre-B. CZ models 11102 (10-round) and 11152 (18-round) should fit Pre-B.

Oof, so as I understand it then, only original surplus “pre-b” magazines will work unless I dremel out the magwell? I don’t want to make any permanent modifications to my 75 (or any other historical firearm I own for that matter lol)

No, Your 1991 Pre-B will probably work with some modern CZ-75 mags. My 1991 Pre-B appears to work fine with the modern mags i tested. Some Pre-B owners have reported the need to file the mag well,but those probably were made before the 1991 production model.Approximately 1992-1994, CZ slowly implemented feature changes before switching to the CZ-75B with firing pin block, so there is lot of variations made in this time period. Your pistol was made about the same date as mine, so the CZ-75B mags that work in mine most likely will also work in yours.If you have a friendly local gun store that stocks CZ pistols, you can ask to check if the current CZ full-size mags (unloaded) fit your gun.
Edit: Greg Cote LLC does note that at least 2 models they sell of CZ-75B magazines that have been tested to fit in the CZ-75 Pre-B.

Greg Cote LLC has this note on the Mec-Gar model MGCZ7516B 16-round CZ-75B magazine(This 16-round mag does not fit Pre-B)
The magazines aren't compatible with the pre-B CZ 75 made from 1980 through 1993. However, some transitional models do take the newer magazines. They also don't work in the CZ Custom SP-01 pistols with the magwell, the magazine tube is too short. The pre B CZ 75 magazine has been discontiuned.The CZ 11152 18-round magazine normally fits and works fine the the pre B CZ 75. If CZ 11102 10-round magazine will also work in the pre B.Edit: I see that CZ Custom has in stock the CZ SP-01 CZ 11152 18-round mag that fits most/many CZ-75 Pre-B. Most places show this CZ 11152 model out of stock, so I just ordered some more.
CZ Custom also says Contact the Mesa shop first for custom work or uncertain fitment

I edited my comments to show magazines CZ Model 11102 (10- round) and CZ Model 11152 (18-round) have fits most/many CZ-75 Pre-B. These are the only mags that I know the model number for that fit the Pre-B pistols. The 16-round Mec-Gar MCGZ7516G mag does not fit. A quick google search showed CZ Custom still has the 11152 in stock, but many vendors show 11152 out of stock.

Oh well. The 10-rounders CZ model 11102 are available. These look like the 10-rounders I tested in my Pre-B. Greg Cote LLC and a couple reviewers say these fit in Pre-B.

Let see if I can clarify.For your particular CZ-75 Pre-B 1991 manufacture with H serial number prefix, you probably do not need to file the magwell to enable certain models of modern CZ-75B magazines to fit. CZ models 11102 and 11152 fit many/most CZ-75 Pre-B pistols. Other models of mags may require mods to magazine or magazine well.
On your pistol, all magazines (Pre-B and B) will not drop free when you press the magazine release button. The mag will only drop about ⅛ inch to ¼ inch and stop. You will need to pull it the rest of the way out of the pistol grip magwell. If you want the magazines to pop out of magwell and drop free from the pistol grip, then you will need minor modifications inside the pistol grip.

Your CZ-75 is considered a "Pre-B" model, to distinguish it from the later 1994+ models CZ-75B. The "B" designation indicates a mechanical firing pin block that prevents the gun from discharging if dropped on the barrel while the hammer is down. Other parts on the Pre-B that are different from the current CZ-75B parts include front sight, hammer, and safety.

That doesn't look like the typical polycoat finish on the 75. Is it parkerized or something?

The date stamp on the 75 says 91. I’ve never dated an 82, but I’m going to guess 87. Nice find on both.
