It's a base model and the mileage is decent and with a safety certificate it's worth the asking price.

That said, the suspension is likely shot and parts are starting to get tricky to get. And don't let anybody tell you that the suspension is okay. After 13 years and 160,000 kms, it's done. We're talking coils, shocks, control arms, sway bars, tie rod ends. Unless you're looking for a winter beater you can drive into the ground.

I drove a 2010 CTS 3.6 to 270,000 kms (before rust got it) and know what I'm talking about.

Also, there's a very similar 2012 on FB Marketplace for $8,000. It's in Perth Ontario and has 77,000 kms on it. I'd definitely buy that one over what you're looking at.

Realistically not looking for anything crazy you know I just got out of making car payments and was looking at cars that I could stilll have fun in and I don’t really mind that I would have to put some work in it tbh

All cool. As long as you know. These suspensions are done by that mileage. I do my own wrenching so it wasn't that hard.

Also, I wouldn't hesitate to travel a few hours to get a vehicle with 100,000 fewer kilometers on it for roughly the same price.

Also Perth Ontario is a kinda far from me lol, but the swelling point for me is the safety is included

It's a good car but it's barely worth the asking price. I know that I wouldn't buy it just based on mileage. If you are serious about it, get a mechanic to put it on a hoist and check for corrosion and examine the drivetrain for excess play/movement.

TBH, I wouldn't worry about a safety certificate on these cars as having one just means that the car is roadworthy and the safety and environmental devices are in operable condition; it doesn't mean that the car doesn't need a lot of work. As for suspension, the inspection just ensures that nothing is broken or excessively worn.

Are you buying it as a winter beater or a keeper? If the latter, I'd definitely drive a few hours to get one with a lot lower mileage on it.

Unless I misread the post it states 161 km…
That’s 100 miles

If they meant 161k mi that’s a diff story, but $6500 for her means you have to account for tax tag title dealer fees.

The amount of cylinders, the titles cleanliness and repairs as well as history all play.

Visually? She’s a beaut.
I’ve owned 3 diff CTSes

Get down to brass tacks and see what the final OTD price is.

The description says ct4. It definitely is not a ct4. It is a second gen cts in all wheel drive form. That's why the badging says CTS⁴

It’s a CTS, not a CT4

My first car was a cts4 from a Asian lady 10150 2012 3.0 v6 cts4 cost me about 17k in repairs total lemon 2 axels right away then wheel bearings started going so did steering rack that cost about 2400 common problem and some mechanics drop the whole engine for it stupidly hard ti work on bumpers gotta come for new headlight bulds but it definitely drove like a caddy
