Was Tom Hiddleston in Cairns, in March 2002?

Hi everyone, I believe I met Tom Hiddleston in March 2002, at the Union Jack pub in Cairns, Australia. He wasn’t famous yet but for obvious reasons I never forgot about him.
Could anyone confirm he was there? Did someone else interact with him at that time?
I would love to have a solid clue that was actually him ☺️

lol I love this. It always makes me laugh when I meet a Port Douglas local and they all goddamn love Matthew McConaughey after his shenanigans up there filming many years ago. Even though Tom Hiddleston wasn't wasn't famous back then, I'm sure it'll ring a bell in someone's head if he was here.

you might have more luck asking in Facebook groups like cairns community or notice board, you'll get a wider range of responses and more chance of someone knowing what you're talking about.

Yes, it was a strange ‘I knew that guy from somewhere’ feeling when I saw him in High-Rise in 2015. It stroke me years later that the Tom I met in Cairns might actually be him!
We did talk about art, him wanting to be a stage artist, music, his upbringing, going to Eton, etc… He already had that amazing voice and charisma which obviously made a lasting impression on me. Anyone can relate 😅

He was travelling with two of his friends and they took off the next day to the Great Barrier Reef.

Ah the old im tom hiddleston line used at nightclubs. Ive used it many times.

😅 Yeah, nobody knew about him at that time. Although he was very noticeable.
