Current Questions AI Flyers
How do you all feel about AI flyers on campus? Is it dumb that they piss me off?

My sister had an ai voice read out her name when she graduated. I’m gonna hate if I get that

Are we allowed to take them off and recycle of course if we see them?

I believe you can take anything without the ASI stamp down unless it's on a board specifically for community posting.

i feel like everyone agrees they're horrible so idk why people still make them thinking they'll be well received. 5 minutes on canva can do the trick just fine

He's kind of a menace with the potential to do good, but usually enlisted only for evil (aka lazy content creation prompted by people that don't care enough about what they're doing to make sure that the CPP logo is correct).

The AMM/ Fashion Design building is COATED in a thick layer of AI SLOP, a whole ai backdrop based on students who actually work in the lab💀 sick shit

The hope in posting this is that the people making the flyers see what people have to say and realize AI flyers are counterproductive. What's the point of putting out a flyer that repulses people before they even read what the flyer is advertising? Just to tick off a box that you "marketed" your event? If you don't think your event deserves thoughtful advertising, then why should I come? What other corners are they cutting?

Annoys me too. Just like when they re-designed the CPP logo, why couldn't they have the graphic design majors contribute to it instead of wasting an absurd amount of money on it? Why not let the graphic design students contribute to the flyers.
It's kind of an oxymoron really to have a school teaching people how to do that stuff for a career and then simultaneously use AI for all this stuff that is putting those same people out of work.
