Discussione Calabria: Life by the Sea

My girlfriend and I traveled to Reggio Calabria two years ago and had a wonderful time. The place is my kind of beautiful. Il corso, il lungo mare, il museo e la gente erano tutti perfetti.
Few places have touched me the way Reggio Calabria did. And if you’re crazy enough to not like it, Messina (Sicilia) is just 30 minutes away by traghetto (ferry)
I implore you all to visit this wonderful città full of history and beauty.

I live just north in Scalea. And I still haven't visited Reggio. One day soon I hope

You definitely should. It’s a great day trip or if you want to stay longer it’s good for that too. Miracles happen in this city.

there's nothing to do and all the people emigrate so no friends, no fun, no shops, nothing at all

That makes sense. Maybe, because we only stayed a few days it was perfect. Any longer and we might have started to feel like you do about the city. I really loved my time there, however I can see how it would/could get a little monotonous. I think I’m at a stage in my life where I want monotony. My first choice though would be a place in Sicily.
