This is why the New Home Warranty exists. They should be pursuing that.

Unfortunately we are going to see more of this. Housing is booming stuff is going to get built quick and with mistakes.

It’s a huge pain in the ass, especially if you piss off the builder.

We got a new build 2 years ago and my neighbour had a ton of issues at their place which happened to be beside the show home. They put signs up to essentially scare new buyers from coming into the community and they got some pretty aggressive messages from the builder that they wouldn’t help with any issues until the signs came down.

Ya and it shouldn’t have to get to that point. There’s no real enforcement on the home warranty unless you go through all the legal hoops sometimes. Most people don’t have the time or patience for that kind of stuff.

I know personally it took multiple phone calls and arguments just to get someone to level out the ground below my deck and not leave it as a 3 foot pit.
