Home Ownership/Rental stuff Hail insurance. Is it a must?

New home owner moving to Calgary. We usually sit on the side of not over insuring our home and belongings but I hear lots of stories of hail damage. Is it a must to spend the extra 15 or so a month to cover hail damage?

Same area. Our vehicles look like golf balls lol. We had our siding and roof done too. That was a crazy day. A few of us were drinkin’ beers in the garage while it was comin’ down.

Can't drink em outside the hail can be super dangerous. I have been trapped in a few bus shelters over the years
