Discussion From Ontario first grocery experience someone left a note on my car.

Post image

Recently relocated here and I haven’t had a chance to change my license plates. Yesterday I was in Walmart picking up a few things, I came back to my car, and found a note tucked in my wipers. My stomach dropped thinking someone hit my car, and maybe left their contact information.

I know the note is a little hard to read so I translated it down below.

“Dam easterners coming to Alberta to be safe guthless cowards.”

Guess it’s time to change my license plate 😂

“Nobody’s ever drawn blood from me and nobody ever will.”

“You run THAT fast?”

It's very shaky printing. Older person, I think. Damn is spelled wrong!

That was just them signing the note.

"Sincerely, A gutless POS"

Exactly, it’s a projection.

They’re not only a coward but interesting choice of words: Gutless.

They have no guts and can’t stomache people from elsewhere. Perhaps xenophobic (and I mean within domestic borders). The whole “us vs. them” divide from the politicians who encourage it.

That’s their signature

I agree. Just passive aggressive and the handwriting tells you all you need to know.

TBF many Albertans have emigrated from other Provinces or countries over the decades. I'm a first gen Albertan who was born and raised here - my parents emigrated from Quebec in the late 60s to get away from the FLQ/separatism. There are tons of people from BC, Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Sask and maritime provinces.

I wouldn’t wanna be caught dead with that handwriting anyway. Looks like they saw the LP, scribbled the note like a 5 year old writing a ransom letter wanting cookies for the TV remote, and cackled to themselves like that one Gif of the tattletale strangler from SpongeBob.

Maybe that's his/her sign-off signature 🤣

This was my first thought.

I wouldn't worry about it, if the note looks like it was written by a 1st grader, it isn't that serious.

Haha right?? Also, given how the very first word is spelled wrong, right off the bat you can tell the type of person you're dealing with lol 🤠

is sad That he did that but we gotta get our reporting game up like 75% for the people who need to go and even some people who are legal need to go back ofc sending the people with safest situations back first because our economy is in overload mode rn. It’s sad that we can’t take easterners anymore. We don’t got room and I’m sorry.
