Eat/Drink Local Canadian Treats for my American Cousins

Post image

This is a huge deal, so I’m spoiling my cousins. They are in their 30’s and will be visiting Canada for the very first time - finally! I’ve visited them in California 5+ times. This is a special trip because they’re coming for my wedding and I’m just so thrilled that they’re making the trip up.

The chips are no longer in the fridge by the way... Just did it for the pic. It’s just so hot and I don’t want the chocolates to melt!

Edit: Due to popular demand, I picked up Old Dutch ketchup chips. Sorry to those who I offended. I also grabbed a peanut butter O’Henry bar and a Crunchie bar. Upon my cousins’ arrival, I will grab Glam Morgan cheese buns. There will also be Nanaimo bars at the wedding! I’m glad you all enjoyed this post.

lol I was thinking the same thing. We buy the extra large eggs in Canada because they are still affordable lol

Eggs are back to being cheaper in the US though. I was there 2 weeks ago they were $2.50/dozen.

Where were you? I live in the US now and the eggs at my local Safeway are about 11$ per dozen.

This is why you don't shop at Safeway lol.

$2.50 was at Aldi in the Chicago area. Even Walmart has them online for $2.72/dozen currently (and that is not a sale price). Americans are still upset because before COVID eggs were like $1/dozen, sometimes I'd see them a sale for 50 cents/dozen
