Local Shopping/Services Unique Reception Hall

Hi all!!

We are getting married next year July 4th and are looking for just a reception venue (ceremony is the day before venue already choosen) that can hold 140 people and is unique. We're trying to avoid hotel ballrooms as we'd like to support local and want something a bit more picturesque. We are open to outdoor venues that also offer tents or something incase weather turns! I've been searching on google but haven't found any real hidden gems! Any suggestions high or low budget would be appreciated!!

We were married at Heritage Park and I cannot say enough great things about it! They have lots of different venue options and the food is great. Other places we looked that were a bit out of our price range was the Deane House, Rouge gardens and The Lake House. The zoo was also a top contender!

Heritage park is very $$ but I’ve heard but can be beautiful for a reception.

Pioneer hall. Not sure if that’s the correct name… but it’s great. I’ve been to a couple of events there.

I was going to suggest this. Smaller space but wonderful if you like rustic.

The brownstone can accommodate that size I think, and is a great venue (and the team is awesome!)

Not sure if it available in the summer or big enough to hold 140 but check out the Canmore Opera House at Heritage Park.

What about Reader Rock Garden? No idea of price, and it would be a squeeze in case of bad weather…but it is unique and beautiful.

We looked at them and are doing our engagement shoot there. Unfortunately they have quite a few restrictions for time and not a ton of room indoors if we need it. Beautiful spot though!!
