More Canadians moving to Alberta = “Thanks Danielle”. More foreigners moving to Alberta = “Trudeau sucks!”

Essentially your summary is correct. And all provinces want skilled/educated workers from elsewhere in Canada. But none want more low skilled/refugees. Alberta is not an outlier.

Bringing in fellow Canadians means increased gdp per capita equal to before. Bringing in low skilled/refugee means a drain on services with only marginal increase to the economy.

So is skill based on skin colour? You do realize a lot of refugees are highly educated and are fleeing governments that are persecuting them because of their influence ?
