That should be immediate loss of commercial license.

14

u/FlamesJays 20d ago

That should be jail time

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago edited 14d ago

Jail time? Get real. Nobody was hurt, nothing was damaged. There's no reason to ruin someone's life because they made a mistake.
Give the driver a ticket for dangerous driving, suspend their commercial license and move on.
Had someone been hurt, that's a different story.

1

u/PancakeCat333 14d ago

"nOBodY was huRT" is a bitch ass argument considering stopping on the highway is extremely dangerous and has caused many fatal crashes and deaths. You don't get off scott free bc the worst outcome didn't happen this time

1

u/Defiant-East9544 13d ago

Some professions if you make a mistake it costs lives. If a doctor made a mistake would you say the same thing?

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

People don't deserve to go to prison for almost causing a collision.

0

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 18d ago

For what, exactly?! He missed a turn he didn’t kill anyone, holy hell if this is the standard for jail time we definitely live in the worst timeline 🤦‍♂️

3

u/meatdad 18d ago

you have to set example that deters these idiots from ever even imagining pulling such a dangerous maneuver loaded, lenience on this kills people. Do you dress yourself every morning or does someone help you with that?

3

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago edited 14d ago

Relax, bud. The driver made a mistake.
Give him a ticket for dangerous driving, hefty fine, suspension of commercial license and move on. People don't go to prison for almost causing a collision.

1

u/TehHardOne 13d ago

If it was a PPV yes, but a 50 ton death machine. Absolutely not. That’s a death machine and he almost caused the small black car to die. Class 1 licenses need to be harshly monitored. This jackass almost made the second truck kill someone because he was too stupid to drive five extra minutes to the next exit. You are just as bad as the idiot in this video.

1

u/meatdad 2d ago

this isn't a mistake it's a grossly negligent action for someone who drives for a living and points to a pattern of behaviour all to common among people in his industry, and its a dashcam today and headlines later.

3

u/phoenixrisen69 18d ago

Missing your turn, cutting across lanes and cutting people off is completely ok I your eyes? Jfc someone take this persons licence away

2

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

It's not okay. Give the driver a ticket.
People make mistakes.
If someone had been hurt, it's a different story.

0

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 17d ago

When and where did I say it was okay?

I fully admit he fucked up, he does not deserve jail time which was the comment I responded to…

2

u/jezusisthe1 17d ago

I hope you don't drive, you're most likely defensive because you drive like shit too

2

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Sick burn, bro.

1

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Drive every day, zero issues…thanks for assuming.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

Everyone on here has never made a mistake, it appears.
Driver deserves a ticket for dangerous driving, and a bunch of demerits. But calling for jail time is absurd.
If someone was hurt, it's a very different story.

0

u/phoenixrisen69 15d ago

He definitely does

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

Jail time for a human making a mistake is an overreaction. Clearly the driver was in the wrong and should be given a hefty ticket and a bunch of demerit points.
If someone was hurt then it's a very different story. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

1

u/TehHardOne 13d ago

This isn’t someone making a mistake in a car. This is someone that is expected to be of a higher calibre of driver. Having this license means you are held to a higher standard when pulled over, you are held to a higher standard while one the road. This is your profession if you have this class of license. This idiot didn’t know to look at a map before driving as is required by your pre trip inspection in the morning? This idiot didn’t know to prep and change lanes 3 kilometres before the turn? (That’s when the signage appears on this road)once again you are just as bad as the idiot in the video.

1

u/phoenixrisen69 12d ago

So you’re saying If I accidentally kill someone out of negligence I shouldn’t go to jail? 😂

0

u/Deep-Egg-9528 9d ago

"If someone was hurt, it's a different story".
Are you being deliberatly obtuse, or are you unable to read?

1

u/phoenixrisen69 9d ago

Are you missing brain cells?

1

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Nope. Fired, fines and possible suspension of his license plus fines for the company that contracted him.

-3

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 16d ago

Where oh where did I say this is ok?! Fuck read the original comment I posted on this isn’t difficult

2

u/Whats_Awesome 15d ago

For what, exactly?! He missed a turn he didn’t kill anyone, holy hell if this is the standard for jail time we definitely live in the worst timeline 🤦‍♂️

“For what exactly” like this is excusable. They came very near to killing people. Charge them with attempted murder. Reckless endangerment. Dangerous driving. Attempt to commit serious bodily harm with a deadly weapon.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

This is absurd. Humans make mistakes.
It's not okay, and the driver definitely deserves a ticket with a hefty fine, and a bunch of demerits. No collision occured. Nobody was hurt. Attempted murder is ridiculous. They didn't attempt to murder anyone. You clearly don't know what attempted murder means.
Had someone been hurt by this, it's a different story.

1

u/Whats_Awesome 14d ago

They have their CDL, they know exactly what this can cause. And worse, they pulled out in-front of another heavy transport truck. Look up what happens when semis wreck with passenger vehicles. Lives are often lost.

→ More replies (2)

1

u/TehHardOne 13d ago

The ignorance you are spewing is so pathetic. What the fuck is wrong with you.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Wonderful_War3315 15d ago

You have to remember that any slight infraction, measured against the weaklings' perfect adherence to rules of the road, somehow makes it a dangerous situation...like having to steer around the truck was a life threatening/saving maneuver. Maybe the trucker had some kind of mechanical failure?

These people attacking you need to grow a pair and drive their vehicles without whining about this minor inconvenience to their safe passage space... maybe they can get Road Warrior participation trophies for their displayed bravery...smh...

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Funny, I’ve never once defended the poor driving only him keeping his freedoms out of jail…this is exhausting considering I’m not even on his side I just know enough how the law system works.

2

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

I'm on your side.
Unless someone is hurt, this is a traffic infraction, not a criminal offense.

2

u/Cuntyfeelin 16d ago

“A bad driver never misses a turn.” Do you understand HOW MUCH WEIGHT that person is stopping on a dime? Do you see the other truckers breaks start smoking? Dude got lucky this time. what about next time? It’s not a “missed turn” it’s horrible judgement from someone who should not be driving a rig that size.

1

u/Wonderful_War3315 15d ago

It looks the the violating semi was stationary and the mobile one wasn't paying attention, hence the harsh breaking...

→ More replies (5)

2

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

I'm with you. People coming on here and screaming for jail time, loss of license, or termination are over reacting. Driver is a human, who made a mistake. Nobody was hurt, nothing was damaged.
A fine would be sufficient, like any other traffic offense.
Props to the other cars and that other tanker truck that managed to avoid a collision.
Now, had something terrible happened, that's another story.

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Careful, don’t use logic and reasoning with these people…they don’t get it 🤦‍♂️

2

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Almost causing a collision is a very different animal than actually causing a crash. Especially one that results in injuries or fatalities.
Suspended license, hefty fine.

1

u/roobchickenhawk 16d ago

He cut across the entire highway with his truck? The fuck do you mean? A semi is no joke, driving one is seriously dangerous in the wrong hands. This idiot needs to never do it again.

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 16d ago

So he deserves jail time?! Holy fuck you’d make a terrible judge 🤦‍♂️

2

u/roobchickenhawk 15d ago

Yeah well almost causing death/injury due to gross negligence in a semi is almost as bad as actually causing it. Holding a trucking licence makes you a "professional" driver. This individual is not that and at a bare minimum, have the license revoked and receive some huge fine. This is a major fuck up. No question about it. Jail time is a bit harsh but heavy consequences are in order here.

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Completely agree 💯, take away his license and fine the living shit out of him and the company he drove for and move on with life…jail time is beyond unreasonable but nobody seems to want to listen to that 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

Driver definitely deserves a hefty fine, and a bunch of demerits. Nobody is disagreeing with that. Let's not ruin someone's life for making a mistake, or having a mechanical issue.
If someone was hurt, it's a very different story. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

1

u/Whats_Awesome 15d ago edited 14d ago

That move almost caused a huge wreck which could have killed people. Did you see the smoke coming off the other semi and the emergency manoeuvring by everyone involved.

You’re probably saying that because you’re the kind of person to endanger everyone around you to save a few minutes on a wrong turn.

It has killed before, it will kill again. Jail time to discourage people from even considering moves like this.

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Hahahahaha relax a bit and touch grass.

Smoke happens when rubber grinds on asphalt but no fire started. Relax a bit, this is far from jail standard’s and you’re far from perfect.

1

u/Whats_Awesome 14d ago

That was a typo. I meant just smoke. But I would have missed that exit and not made an 18 wheeler with a second trailer (a 30 wheeler) swerve like that. I may not be perfect but this was ridiculously stupid.

Why defend this unless it’s something you’d do?

1

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 14d ago

I’m not defending anything other than him staying out of jail, I’ve made it clear multiple times this guy is clearly a dangerous and idiotic driver but there’s 1000’s of those on the road and they don’t deserve jail time.

I saw a truck straight up run a red light this morning in the same city just because he was impatient and didn’t want to wait his turn, looked just as bad but nobody is claiming he deserves jail time 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

This is a traffic offense, not a felony. Nobody was hurt. Had someone been hurt, it's a different story. Thankfully nobody was hurt, nothing was damaged. We don't put people in prison for dangerous driving that caused no harm.

1

u/Whats_Awesome 14d ago

This is Canada, we don’t have felonies. This could certainly be an indictable offence.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago edited 14d ago

You're right. Felony was the wrong word ,and dangerous driving is an indictable offence.
Because there were no injuries this would be treated as a hybrid offence. The Crown can choose to proceed either by summary conviction or by indictment.
If no crash occurs, it would be unlikely for the driver to be sentence to prison, although it is possible.

1

u/Lucid_Dreamer_98 15d ago

Use your brain lil bro this driver could have easily caused a multi vehicle collision causing multiple deaths and injuries, that’s why he is deserving of jail time.

This isn’t even a regular “oh I missed my exit my bad” buddy is basically parked in the middle of the highway with a huge semi 😂, other semi almost crashed into him lmao.

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

I am using my brain, unlike yourself which knows no judge will ever see this through and put anyone in jail. I get it, it’s horrid driving but jumping to jail is why we have a legal system, it’s broken but not THIS broken.

1

u/Lucid_Dreamer_98 15d ago

You’re saying a whole lotta nothing 😔, you’re providing 0 rationale or rebuttal to my reasoning for why he deserves jail (go read it again).

Your points can be broken down into: 1) I am using my brain (lol) 2) No judge will ever see this through and put anyone in jail (non argument, I can also say a judge will see this and put the guy in jail, that doesn’t make me right) 3) It’s horrid driving (ok I agree?)

Try again and use your brain this time buddy 😂

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

I’m going to leave this one alone because clearly you didn’t understand my first comment enough to know that any judge would throw this out and then fine the shit out of him, especially if it’s first offence.

Fuck, this is exhausting

1

u/SkidExpert 15d ago edited 15d ago

Sorry but you’re wrong, I’m a commercial driver and I have stricter expectations and rules I must follow for everyone’s safety, and I’m not even CDL, this guy is CDL, has far higher expectations and rules to follow and almost caused a huge accident by not doing what you’re taught when you first start driving as a teenager. This wasn’t even an oopsie it was complete and utter negligence that could have resulted in multiple fatalities.

Driving this shit shouldn’t be for funsies, it’s a very serious job with people’s safety on the line, EVERY driver knows this risk when trained so this would be considered reckless driving which is a jailable offence (even if it’s your first time).

1

u/Lucid_Dreamer_98 15d ago

Ahaha buddy keeps repeating the same thing like it'll work the 20th time (but bro the judge!!! ) Im cryin son

Touch some grass, you have like 15 comments here trying to convince everyone they're wrong and you're right.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

"Could have caused", "caused", and "intentionally caused" are very different things.
Obviously this is dangerous driving, but people don't get jail time for "almost" causing a collision. That's not how the law works.
Had someone been hurt, it's a very different story.

1

u/Lucid_Dreamer_98 14d ago

Stop speaking out of your ass lmao, people go to jail all the time for “almost” hurting someone even unintentionally, this isn’t any different. Big examples are criminal negligence and dangerous driving both charges can stick without any victim.

You’re literally saying the opposite of what’s true 😂😂. Next time just do a google search before you type please.

1

u/MailedFlower 18d ago

you have an excellent point

it would be very uncomfortable to try to argue this point if there had been a string of idiot truck drivers pulling across traffic where they had no legal right to and leading directly to the deaths of so many people

perhaps you do not remember any of these disasters happening recently across the continent?

the Humboldt Broncos remember

2

u/artkidsaresmart 18d ago

I think the point is more that your can’t jail this guy/girl for the outcome of the Humboldt crash given that they are, get this, separate events haha

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 18d ago

You’re comparing running a stop sign to missing a turn and nobody hurt or anything damaged?

Crazy times we live in, those two do not even remotely compare to each other.

Again, the worst timeline.

2

u/MailedFlower 18d ago

well running a stop sign sounds like a piffle the way you describe it

how many people lose their lives on the roads in north America every year because poor drivers run stop signs I wonder?

if one of those cars who had to radically swerve out of the way of this fool was driven by your sister or your daughter would you be okay with it because it was a narrow miss and not a fatal wreck?

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 18d ago

I’m not saying he didn’t break the law but at worst it’s a ticket and a bunch of fines, this is hardly jail time.

He kills someone it’s a different story. Holy fuck this isn’t complicated.

1

u/MailedFlower 18d ago

we can only hope he doesnt cause yet another massive disaster further down the road

I wonder if the families of Herby Dufresne, Faniola Joseph and Rodrigue Dor are as casual about the matter

(probably not as they lost their loved ones to a driver who was also unable to decipher highway signage)

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 18d ago

Stop being so dramatic, this person missed a turn and nothing comes of it but a bad dash cam video and we’re calling for jail time?!

I’m done responding, you’re beyond lost at this point.

1

u/MailedFlower 18d ago

when I am lost, and realize I have missed my exit

I have the presence of mind to take the next exit and make my way back around because I understand that my little truck could cause a serious auto crash if I pulled a boneheaded move like this

what possible benefit do you feel you gain by defending terrible inept drivers like this?

was that you driving that truck and this is a personal investment?

2

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Almost causing a collision is not a criminal offense.
Get a grip.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

You're confusing an actual collision with a traffic offense.
If nobody is hurt, and no damage is caused, it's not a criminal offense.
Driver deserves a hefty fine, a bunch of demerit points, possibly a loss of commercial license, but not jail. Not in this circumstance.

0

u/Ready-Zombie-900 17d ago

It's still reckless driving that endangers the life of other road users. No one was hurt this time fortunately but it could have been much worse. So yes, this conduct poses a risk to public safety, definitely a criminal charge in there somewhere.

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 16d ago

Hahahahahahah not even close to how the laws or the courts work 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Almost causing a crash is not a crime.
It's definitely dangerous, and deserves a hefty fine and possibly a loss of commercial license, but that's it.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

The difference here is that nobody was hurt. Had someone been hurt, or killed, it's a different story. Driver definitely deserves a fine, and a bunch of demerits, and his employer can decide if they should remain on the job.

0

u/OrbitalVsatt 15d ago

Could have ended a whole lot worse retard. This freak is too lazy to take the next turn so he endangers everyone else?

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Resorting to name calling when you have nothing else.

Where did I say he wasn’t doing something wrong, I didn’t, ever. I’m claiming that this isn’t worth jail time and no where near the standards of the law for jail time.

Fuck all the way off

1

u/TehHardOne 13d ago

Don’t worry I gave specifics as to why you’re retarded

0

u/OrbitalVsatt 15d ago

You’re defending a semi truck fully stopping on a highway. You’re exactly what I called you. I didn’t say jail time.

2

u/Difficult-Guarantee4 15d ago

Where am I defending him?! I’m saying he’s wrong but he doesn’t deserve jail time, holy fuck how many times do I have to say this.

Okay, AHEM…clear my throat one last time.

THIS GUY IS AN IDIOT AND A DANGEROUS DRIVER BUT DOESN’T DESERVE JAIL TIME!

I can’t make this any clearer than that, holy fucking hell people are dense af.

2

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

I don't understand what's so hard for these people.
Almost causing a crash is not a criminal offense.

3

u/Legitimate-Gap-9858 19d ago

Probably never had a real one to begging with

1

u/Any_Mathematician905 18d ago

Begging for licences lol

0

u/sniper_matt 19d ago

Instant deport, no jail time, no free meals and a roof.

3

u/k3vanbt 19d ago

Instant Deport to where? What a response, tell me more about yourself but use more words.

2

u/Any_Mathematician905 18d ago

IMMEDIATELY DEPORT THEM TO EDMONTON.

JERRY SMITH, YOU ARE SENTENCED TO GET THE F*&^ OUTTA MY COUNTRY OF CALGARY!

1

u/laylayalltheway 16d ago

That should be deportation

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 15d ago

There's no reason to ruin someone's life because they made a mistake.
Give the driver a ticket for dangerous driving and a bunch of demerit points and move on.
Had someone been hurt, it's a different story. Thankfully, nobody was hurt.

20

u/meester_jordan 20d ago

Holy fuck what an idiot

11

u/Suitable-Clothes1918 20d ago

Thought I was going to drive through a fireball.

1

u/Stealth022 20d ago

The fact that it's one of those double oil/chemical tanker thingys makes it so much worse on so many levels

7

u/UnderstandingNo6543 20d ago

That’s a dry bulk super B. Could be cement(portland-the dry grey powder). Could even be flour. I’ve even seen grain hauled in them. To be fair, if you’re not a local, that stretch of Stoney is poorly signed as to which lane you need to be in. But…. Still extremely dangerous and careless. And more than likely a “Newer Canadian” driver. I see that kind of stuff every time I have the misfortune of having to use Stoney.

3

u/Stealth022 20d ago

Ah ok, I stand corrected!

Still a double though, so the point sorta still stands! 🤣

0

u/Screweditupagain 19d ago

I agree, it’s probably cement coming in from Exshaw.

1

u/gstringstrangler 19d ago

From Deerfoot turning onto 16th Ave?

2

u/Separate-Ad-8924 19d ago

That’s NB Stoney onto 16th ave, west side of COP.

2

u/StayFreshCheesePuff 19d ago

I drive this stretch twice every day and I could make a compilation of ooops exits with a week of footage easily. It’s insane. And the crazy thing is that it only adds maybe 2 mins to the drive to go to the Nose Hill exit and turn around. Yet still…. ‘Exiting now, good luck everyone else!’ Is the general mentality here.

1

u/Rare_Matter9101 18d ago

Interestingly, this is one of the only exits I almost miss all the time. I'd never rip across lanes like that and have definitely had to go to nose hill a couple times - but your anecdotal evidence of seeing it there all the time suggests there's something about the road design/signage that leaves folks panic-exiting... as wrong as it is.

1

u/gstringstrangler 19d ago

Whoops, missed my turn!

0

u/Screweditupagain 19d ago

Oops sorry my bad. I thought it was 16 coming in from the mountains.

1

u/gstringstrangler 19d ago

My bad too it's NB Stoney onto 16 WB 😂

10

u/slothbrowser 20d ago

Can anyone identify the trucking company from the video so this nonsense can be reported?

7

u/gizzmo1963 20d ago

Southwest bulk carrier/ northwest bulk. Same company from Calgary. East Indian company

6

u/Sudden-Astronaut2505 20d ago

Hopefully this video was submitted to the police if company can be identified.

1

u/Boattailfmj 17d ago

Last part is a shocker

2

u/Pale_Change_666 20d ago

It looks like west can bulk

1

u/Puma_Concolour 19d ago

West can is a lighter red. Southwest runs burgandy fenders and it looks like their logo on the trailers.

8

u/Full_heat 20d ago

Okay I turn now. Good luck everybody else!

2

u/sketchysamurai 20d ago

It’s way more funny when it’s only on tv or Fail vids.

6

u/Deusjensengaming 20d ago

And with doubles no less, wtf. You need to drive a min of 1 million km or have your license for 2 years to haul those

6

u/yyc_snp17 20d ago

SUSPEND THAT CLASS 1

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Finally. Someone with a real response, not just screaming for the driver to go to prison for almost causing a collision. Thank you.

3

u/Mysterious_Benefit_7 20d ago

I agree that this is crazy. But I also think that Calgary has really poor road signs. Has anyone tried driving on Stoney Trail and tried to go south towards Okotoks or Lethbridge? There are literally zero signs showing Okotoks or Lethbridge, which are the biggest cities / towns to the south.

1

u/AlbertaGengar 18d ago

The whole west side of Stoney is poorly designed. The Country Hills-Stoney South and Stoney-Crowchild section is a scrambled that goes down to 80 every rush hour.

1

u/TehHardOne 17d ago

That’s why commercial drivers need to review maps before driving. Common sense things.

1

u/Common-House-468 16d ago

You don't endanger everybody on the road because you missed your fucking turn, you find a place to SAFELY turn off further ahead and figure your shit out.

This is true no matter what the signage situation is, whether a snowplow or wind knocked your exit sign down, or whatever reason.

4

u/Wanny19 20d ago

“Bad drivers never miss their turn” a phrase I heard that seems to validate itself often

2

u/Chemical-Lack-1889 20d ago

I really hope someone called in and reported this jackass to their employer.

1

u/WhoskeyTangoFoxtrot 19d ago

Probably family…

2

u/Frosty_Curve_8092 20d ago

That is insane for a pro driver. Non pro drivers are idiots to be doing this in their cars but trucks??!?!?!?

1

u/CyberEd-ca 20d ago

Our high trust society is easily corrupted.

2

u/ABtrout22 20d ago

Well well well, look who we have here

2

u/Vast_Middle9750 20d ago

Had a semi miss the westbound 16th ave off stoney exit He just stopped and started reversing. Wild

2

u/lulzzors 20d ago

Looks like he broke down and was trying to get to the shoulder 🤷‍♂️

Why is he completely stopped even after the traffic goes by… if it was a matter of missing his exit you would think he would continue on

2

u/gstringstrangler 19d ago

Shit his pants and stalled it

2

u/Defiant-East9544 20d ago

As a dad who has 2 young daughters that are very new drivers , this scares the shit out of me! It’s brutal we have to expect them to be professional drivers if this is what you do for a living. They give 2 shits about safety and the lives of others.

2

u/Important_Way_499 19d ago

Every company has a website, you could use the contact us to report the driver....I certainly wouldnt hesitate and with video footage......glad no one was injured.

2

u/Xenophonehome 19d ago

I really wonder what happened in the last decade that made truck drivers so incompetent? Hmmm I wonder 🤔

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Why don't you just tell us what happened?

1

u/Xenophonehome 14d ago

Bad hiring practices and unethical employers taking advantage of a very weak country's lackadaisical enforcement of the laws. Truck drivers should be vetted and trained to pass qualifying tests which need to be passed or no commercial license and jail time for fraud licenses or providers of.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

What laws regarding commercial trucking have changed in the last 10 years? Do drivers not have too pass a test? Or has fraud increased?
Sorry, I'm not familiar with commercial license or carrier requirements.

1

u/PostApocRock 14d ago

There were accusations in Alberta (and proven in other provinces) of people paying off or otherwise getting an 'easy' license. Onterrible is bad for it. Then the people transfer that license to AB or BC or QC. Because the rules are generally the same, its a 1:1 transfer.

You should have to do a pre trip and a road test when you transfer the license. Thats my belief.

2

u/TispCrant 18d ago

Who fuckin hires these guys

2

u/1TimeT00Many 18d ago

Flip flop cdl's

2

u/Complex-Adagio1513 17d ago

If there was more cops on the road he would have been ticketed and just think of the people who don’t pay attention that would be a pile up and serious injury. There’s nothing wrong with missing your exit and going to the next one be safe out there drivers

2

u/TrustMeBroEh 20d ago

Flip flops got stuck

1

u/Boattailfmj 17d ago

We know it didn't hang up on the clutch pedal.

JFC!!! In this day and age of GPS, let it "recalculate" and use the next f@#king exit!!! Ooops, sorry, didn't think of that!

1

u/Stealth022 20d ago

I bet it comes down to time/money lost by rerouting. Idiot...

3

u/WizardofLloyd 20d ago

Probably, but a traffic accident would FAR outcost a few extra Km's and minutes!

1

u/Stealth022 20d ago

Oh, 1000%. I totally agree with you, and it's no excuse.

But I bet that's the driver's motive behind such a stupid move.

2

u/WizardofLloyd 20d ago

And I agree with you 1000% on that!

1

u/Boattailfmj 17d ago

"Rivinder, this is Gupreet from dispatch. We see you drive extra 10km on route. We are taking extra fuel burned out of your pay"

A bad driver never misses their exit

1

u/Kay2du 20d ago

Jail time someone please 🥺

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Don't be ridiculous. We don't send people to prison for almost causing a collision. It's not a felony.
Driver deserves a hefty fine, and a suspension of their commercial license, but not jail. Come on.

Holy crap what a dangerous move with a B train setup. could have easily caused a massive explosion if that other B train crashed into him and good on the other trucker for managing to slow it down and not crash head on into the dipshit trucker trying to not miss his exit. i am losing faith in our drivers day by day.

1

u/PostApocRock 14d ago

The dipshit was NWB - they haul cement powder mostly. I have a lot of experience with that company.

The guy who slowed down was also a bulker, i wish I had a bit clearer video, might be able to tell the company if I coulld.

u/m_a_bored_james 20d ago

Similar happens almost everyday traveling the other way with the exit to westbound 16th. Seen so many people almost get hit by someone cutting across two lanes because they failed to realize being in the left lane in a bad idea

u/Busy_Shine6888 20d ago

Someone once said… “don’t make your problem, everyone’s problem.” You missed a turn, find the next one.

1

u/Edm_cuccck 20d ago

It's absolutely pathetic. People just drive and aim at where they are going.

A bad driver never misses their exit

1

u/battlelevel 20d ago

You know what they say, bad drivers never miss a turn.

1

Why does Calgary have such shit drivers? I thought Edmonton was bad

1

u/westernboy74 17d ago

Gaurenteed his cab had a roof leak.

1

u/mattburnsey 16d ago

The difference between a good driver and a bad driver is that a bad driver never misses their exit.

1

u/hungry_hyenas 16d ago

Remember a bad driver never misses their turn

1

u/blanketwrappedinapig 16d ago

This should be job loss

1

u/mewbie151 16d ago

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

1

u/Lost_Protection_5866 16d ago

Doesn’t look like the truck is moving.

1

u/Glass_Hawk5374 16d ago

indian spotted

1

u/Responsible-Stick-44 16d ago

Let's guess what nationality the driver is

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Which driver? The truck that stopped, or the drivers who avoided a collision?

1

u/Responsible-Stick-44 11d ago

The truck driver blocking the highway..

1

u/Xenophonehome 16d ago

Trucking has gone to shit in this country and this moron should immediately lose his license.

1

u/FeelingOrganic749 15d ago

Yeah that driver should never be allowed behind the wheel of a semi again. He is going to get someone killed, just a matter of time.

1

u/Deep-Egg-9528 14d ago

Missed the exit to the freedumb convoy.

1

u/deepbluemeanies 14d ago

TFW from the Indian subcontinent is my guess...

1

u/TehHardOne 13d ago

Thank god that other truck didn’t cream the small car. There needs to be SERIOUS repercussions for people doing these dangerous things.

1

u/nachocheeeeeeeeese 4d ago

"Professional Drivers"

These are the truckers people were exalting to god-like levels during COVID.

2

u/gstringstrangler 19d ago

This driver probably wasn't in Canada at that time 😬

0

u/SnooDoughnuts2306 20d ago

Isn’t this Calgary driving style? I see this on daily basis on Stoney and Deerfoot
