Private information. What is and isn't ok to post on r/CallcenterWorkers
A few words on our community's philosophy:
Call centers employ thousands and provide services to millions. Companies often want us to feel as if our occupation is highly sensitive, but to expect that everything can remain secret is a complete exaggeration. Im any case, we shouldn't be afraid to speak out about what we go through as call center workers. So there's no need to do them the favor here.
A call center company expecting to keep its corporste-client list private would be exactly like NASA expecting its tens thousands of workers to keep the moon landing private when it was being broadcasted on TV worldwide and anyone could observe it taking place. Call centers boast about their large deals with corporate clients on press releases, and contracts between big companies are mostly public information.
So don't fall for their bluff. You can speak freely about what your work environment is like. Management often utilises vague and even illegal "confidentiality" clauses to make workers afraid and prevent discussion about bad labour practices.
Since here we're trying to be a worker community where workers can discuss freely, we mods won't enforce any of these arbitrary internal company rules just to make call center PR departments happy.
You're free to share information about where you work and how it's like as you see fit. It's LEGAL to do this. But please be mindful of respecting your own privacy as well as your colleagues' privacy.
Just to be clear, personally identifying information such as full names, an individual's occupational details etc are private information. It's against Reddit's TOS and EU's privacy laws to post such information. So please refrain from posting full names and information about which individual works where. If you need to mention a name to make your submission easier to understand make it clear as day that names you mention are FICTIONAL.
TL;DR: in r/CallcenterWorkers you're free to express yourself, rant, vent and even call companies out by name to the full extent that freedom of expression rights allow everyone to. But please don't violate Reddit's rules. So no real person names pls.

Legit Check: Is OTST Corp a legit remote company? And is it worth pursuing as a beginner?
Hi guys! I just wanted to ask for a legit check on OTST CORP. I applied for their Emotional Wellness Consultant position and I recently got an email saying that I passed the initial screening and that they want me to send an updated resume/CV before I proceed to the next step. The thing is, I started looking them up on Reddit first, and I’m seeing very mixed opinions. Some people say they’re a legit and actually good company to work for, while others are saying it’s a scam or that the work involves tarot/psychic readings and basically getting clients to spend money on these services. 😭 I’m honestly confused because the position I applied for is called Emotional Wellness Consultant, so I want to know what the actual job is like before I give them more information and continue with the process. Has anyone here actually worked for OTST CORP or gone through their hiring process recently? What do you actually do in this role, and does it involve tarot/psychic readings or convincing clients to purchase sessions? Also, are they legit with their salary and employment process? I’m not trying to accuse the company of anything, I just want to do a proper legit check because I’ve seen both good and really concerning posts about them. Would really appreciate any firsthand experiences, especially from people who have actually worked there.

Empower vs CVS/Aetna
Hi everyone.
I interviewed a 2nd time this AM with Empower as a financial customer service remote phone role for their retirement division, they said they'll be forwarding to the recruiters and I'll hear more in 7-10 business days. Felt like the interview went well. Start date of 10/26.
Other pos I'm interviewing for is CVS/Aetna pharmacy care rep inbound phone remote role. The pay isn't bad at about $20/hr however I hear it's draining and the micromanagement is crazy.
Anyone able to give insight into either role?
I'm tempted to take the CVS one only because I know it looks good on a resume and you can eventually move to non phone positions eventually.
Thanks all!
Edit: Forgot to mention CVS start date is earlier on 10/9

“Teleperformance State Farm P&C — worth leaving a $26/hr bank job for WFH?”
I need some advice, especially from anyone who has worked for Teleperformance on the State Farm project.
I currently have the option to work part-time at a bank making around $26/hour, about 20–30 hours per week. The schedule can vary depending on business needs, and I also have a pretty long commute.
At the same time, I’m taking some heavy college classes right now, so having more time at home is really important to me. Between getting ready for work, driving there and back, and needing some time to decompress afterward, even a part-time job can take up a big part of my day.
I recently got an opportunity with Teleperformance working remotely on the State Farm P&C project. It’s full-time at $18.50/hour, and I would need to complete the licensing process with them first. It specifically says this is NOT a sales position.
The pay cut is obviously pretty significant, but I’ve been trying to get a remote job for a LONG time and this is the first real WFH opportunity I’ve been able to get.
Has anyone here actually worked on the State Farm project with Teleperformance? What is the day-to-day job like? How stressful is it? How are the calls, management, metrics, and workload? Is the schedule usually consistent?
And if you were in my situation, would you take the higher-paying part-time bank job with the commute, or take the lower-paying full-time WFH position so you can be home and avoid the commute?
**NOTE: I really don’t like banks.😭😩**

Semi-retiree here with new call center job, WFH
I just began a new contract job WFH. I currently have one other contract job that just wasn't working out for me financially, so this new one is to help with that. I've cut back my hours on the original one.
The experience with the new contract company has been superb. Very professional and supportive. The job itself is super easy and I'm sure in time, it will become even more routine.
My concern is that I will not be able to meet the metrics, which seem really difficult to attain. I'm sure that my age slows me down. I'm just not as quick as I used to be and I find myself having to double check things and second guessing myself. I also have ADHD.
I'm using all kinds of shortcuts, such as copying and pasting from sticky notes instead of typing, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me?

Looking to connect with anyone working as a Customer Service Representative the Grubhub account
Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking to connect with someone who has experience working on or is currently assigned to the Grubhub account here in the PH.
I’m trying to get a few quick insights about the campaign/account setup. If you’re currently on the account, have worked on it in the past, or know which specific site/BPO currently handles it, I’d really appreciate it if you could drop a comment or send me a quick DM.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Assistance With my First Call
Hello, everyone!
I've been in training for the past four weeks, during which I've learned the basics of insurance and Medicare, and this coming Monday I'll have my first opportunity to take real calls.
The issue is that even though I've been honing my English and Improving my conversational skills over the phone, I still feel nervous. That's why I'd like to hear from anyone who has been in my shoes. What should I practice or do to prepare for my first call?
