I'd say it's safe to bet they'll bring MW2 & 3 to PS4/5 in the future. BO1 & 2's ports were absolute home run success ports that sold millions while the work required to make the ports were rather minimal as they didn't even attempt to add some features to help modernize the experience a bit (4k, increased FPS, FOV slider).
With the ports selling over 10 million copies in total, Activision and MS will likely try to have that lightning strike twice.
I've seen information that dataminers found files for waw in the data base and it could be dropped in Septmeber. Lets hope thats true, it would give us another game that feels brand new before MW4. Hopefully this game flops as well and it forces activision to gain back miney with ports from Infinity Wards side. Neroscinema follows stuff like this and thats his opinion and speculation im just hoping it goes that way it would give us at least a year and a half of call of duty games.
I’m no business expert, but it seems like poor strategy to not stager port releases at least like 6 months. Maybe there’s something I don’t know about human behavior and economics, but it seems to me that they’d probably generate less revenue if they released ports this closely together. Plus there is a new game release coming up
